The poll winner, The Polar Express. The idea of story about a boy trying to find out if Santa is real while enter the express train ride journey to the frozen landscapes of the vast North Pole is really creative. Very interesting animation with this one. It was different. Overall, we can see why everyone loves it. We enjoyed this one.

Just saw this one for the first time this week as well, couldn’t believe how much animated Tom Hanks looked like the real deal. Overall a good story, may be in my top 15

Oh one of my favourite Christmas films of all time! Just finished dinner, so when im ready, i will get myself some ice cream and will get comfortable to watch this film with you guys 🌲🎅🏻

Badd Medicine

Corey! Hope all is well. Didn't know what to expect outta this one. Turned out great! The work that went behind this I'm sure was a lot of effort.

Nakia Smith

Watching for the first time with you guys. I was 12 when this came out. I didn’t watch because the animation was a bit too uncanny valley for me. I’m still creeped out but it’s okay lol

Corey McCann

Doing as well as I can, guys, I’ll have to check out your full review when I get home tonight

Whiskey Hotel

I was born in ‘03 so I grew up watching this movie, it’s a Christmas classic for me. I remember them showing this in class in elementary school at Christmas time and many people from my generation share that same memory. So glad you guys watched and enjoyed it. Also really loved Oaks message at the end too. Great stuff guys!

Raquel Bargas

Omg, looking forward to this!!

I loved your reactions and that you guys loved watching this film. Now that you know the film and the story, i think when you rewatch this you will pick up on a lot of things you missed (which is only normal when you watch something for the first time). - The animation on the train is AMAZING! I love it so much and there are so many great shots that give me goosebumps. - Music is FANTASTIC. Its in my Christmas playlist and i could listen to it all year long. - When Hero boy gets in the sleigh and is chosen to ask for the first gift of christmas, he asks for the reindeir sleigh bell. He finally found his believe in christmas and doesnt want to lose it. The bell is the perfect symbol for him. - The reason that he is not able to hear the bells is because he is growing up, leaving childhood behind and stop having these fantasies and dreams. At the end of the film his parents dont hear the bell because their fantasies and dreams have been forgotten, because life forces you (us) to grow up. We forget the joy that life brings. Even his little sister, who strongly believed, grew up and lost the innoncence of childhood. My believe is that, because of his journey, that when he grew up he never lost his dreams and fantasies. His friends and everyone around him stopped believing and let adulthood completely take over, but he hold on to his hope and believe. And thats why, even in adulthood, he is one of the few who can still have hope, believe and dreams. Still, i think the ending speaks for itself. Everytime i watch the ending, it fills me with something special. It makes me want to cry but i feel very happy and complete at the same time. - I think you guys should look up the things you missed in the film. Or parts that you dont understand. Take the hobo for example. Was he a ghost? Some say it could be a hobo who died on the train but others say its Santa Claus. This film is all about the believe and the spirit of Christmas, maybe he was the spirit in a form humans can understand because its familiar. Anyways, sorry for my long comment haha. I loved it and i will definitly come back to your reaction often.

The animation in this film is strange for me but I love the story. When I was a kid my grandparents used to read me this book. They gave me a bell and everyone in my family pretended that they couldn’t hear it. I have so many fond memories with them. My grandparents are gone now, but I still have my bell.

I think I would like this movie more if I had watched it as a child, but I was in my 20’s when it came out so it lacks nostalgia for me and I am not a fan of the animation style in this. But I can enjoy watching it. I recognized the voice actor for the Know-it-all kid as the actor who played Eugene in Grease.

Guys! I loved your reaction to this one. It's definitely an emotional ride. My eyes were sweating the whole time, even at the sound of that bell. And when Oak got emotional....I felt it. Love you all! ❤️

I remember watching this as a kid so many times. As an adult, I still get emotional!

This movie is full of metaphors. Some obvious and probably a few that are not so obvious. Some of the ones that I have thought of and that I have heard are... Tom Hanks plays so many characters because most are the same character. Santa Clause, the conductor, and the ghost are all the spirit of Christmas. They are all the king of the North Pole, king of the Polar Express, and father figure in the real world. There is also an homage to "A Christmas Carol" with the ghosts of Christmas past, present and future trying to show him the way and teach him the meaning of Christmas. The Scrooge puppet is the Easter egg to that idea. The more I watch this movie, the more subtle analogies I pick up. Art can sometimes mean different things to different people.

I love the 'is this where they get their wands' reference, it does have that feel of times of the harry potter trio going off into some trouble. The main character 'Hero Boy' (apparently his name is chris!), Hero Girl (her name is holly), and Billy (the small one) were a sweet trio that all embodied beautiful lessons. Their bonds and personalities gave us just enough that you could see them being protagonist's in a longer story because they were so relatable and cool especially when you're a kid watching- and of course the know it all glasses boy kind of reminds me of the dude you've been seeing in all of your movie reacts lately. Like Gilly in The Maze Runner or the annoying boy in Narnia 3 (dawn treador) think about it, that trope is literally him lmao. The hobo is a character that always gave me chills as a child, I felt he was a 'scrooge' but also of course, a 'ghost' and the music that played whenever he was around made his presence seem like an ominous villain even though he was helping Hero Boy. I think he made the movie memorable for me outside of the main three and the conductor for me as a kid. Tom Hanks did amazing in this movie, imagine carrying half the cast because you *are* half the cast. It reminds me of Prince of Egypt where Moses and God were played by the same voice actor- its so cool to think of how you can embody so many different spirits and people- I admire it, its a skill. Also you guys were hilarious throughout this, the 88 miles quip surprised me and had me genuinely bursting out into laughter. Just made it so much more fun to see again. Much love, cant wait for more

We have noticed some had some opinions about the animation. It was different. Wonder why they choose this style?

😁😁 glad you enjoyed the reaction. Great stuff here too! Dig the maze runner reference 😁🤙

Loved revisiting this movie with you guys!!! and I am 100% with Oak. Amazing message. We do Toys for Tots at work as well as Santa for Seniors for those in retirement homes with no family. Gotta take care of the kids and the old folks! Merry Christmas everyone! All the best to you and yours!

I was 5 in 2004 when this was released. So I'm a little biased having grown up with the movie, but I agree with Oak 5 out of 5.

Marco Gutierrez

I just got around to watching this reaction and I've noticed in some of the recent movies Oak has gotten kind of emotional. I just want to take the chance here to say that you don't have to feel like you need to hold back on our account. I've been in that position before and I know the kind of toll it takes, but just know that nobody here would think less of you for letting it out instead of holding back.

Alex Turnbull

I'm so happy you got to see this, I really hope you check out more Christmas movies like A Christmas Carol (2009) and How the Grinch stole Christmas, both great Jim Carrey lead films.

Curtis Rice

It felt like when I watched Golden compass again. Seen one time in elementary school. remembered nothing but felt a lot of deja vu.
