Once again, you all hit a grand slam with this movie on the poll. The story, action, everything about this film was just fantastic. No clue how none of us saw this. This was a much deeper film than we thought it ever was going to be. Thank you all for voting for this one it was damn good!

A lot of people misinterpret the title and think it refers to Nathan Algren, which is wrong. The last samurai is Katsumoto or it could also be meant as plural and therefore the last samurai are Katsumoto and all his men. People criticised it being a movie about a white savior because of this misinterpretation. Great reaction guys. Thank you. 👍🏻😊

I said it, a damn fine piece of art. Up there with 'Gladiator' and as Russel Crowe. When Tom Cruise in a movie, he brings nothing below A-game! The score, the outfits and the epic battles like you guys said - just beautiful!

Since you liked this movie so much, I think you'd also enjoy 1999s "13th Warrior" with Antonio Banderas and 1998s "The Man in the Iron Mask" with too many stars to name.
