What a movie this was! Can't believe we all waited till now to see it. Everyone involved knocked it out of the park on this. The style of this film, the script, just everything was fantastic! QT delivered on this one.

What did you all think of this film?

I know this is a bit old now, but just watched it with you, but I've seen this film many times and to me it's a love story from Quentin to the old 60s Hollywood and to Sharon. The ending to me is the ending us fans of that era wishes could have been. It always makes my heart sink at the end when Sharon is talking to Jake and everyone in her home is alive, full of life and is oblivious to what happened and what was supposed to happen. If it wasn't for "Rick" going out w/ his margaritas yelling at them, Sharon and friends would have been murdered. But, in reality when the Tate murders happened Hollywood changed forever. The old fun Hollywood died, after that actors etc shut themselves off from the world, became way more protective and private and stayed away from going out to do normal things, like in this film going to a regular theater, restaurants, etc. I think this is just Quentin rewriting history so things could have stayed as they were before the Tate murders and of course saving Sharon who was just on the cusp of breaking out as a "a" list star.

I really love this movie more every time I see it. I wasn’t surprised that you all didn’t realize what the movie takes place around but I was surprised that you didn’t know more about the actual details about Manson, his people, Spahn Ranch and Tate. It’s a really crazy story and they put quite a few of the actual details in, except of course, for the ending.

Also, don’t know if you know her but the hippie girl that didn’t want to go to the house is Maya Hawke. Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman ‘s daughter.

A really cool Easter Egg in this movie is when Rick goes to Rome to film all those movies and one of the directors names is Antonio Margheriti! Which is one of the characters in Quentin's movie 'Inglorious Basterds'.
