That last line in the book when Harry and Dumbledore almost made it out of the cave and Harry is so worried for Dumbledore’s health. He says “don’t worry sir” and Dumbledores answers “I am not worried/afraid Harry because I am with you”. That hands down embodies everything that Dumbledore is and feels for Harry. Ultimate father figure. Most powerful wizard ever still eternally haunted and flawed who finds redemption and mercy in Harry. He planned eveything. Dumbledore would never risk Harry. That’s all I wanted to say.

Every time I watch this movie, I am struck by how much courage it took for Dumbledore to be so completely vulnerable with Harry in the cave scene, and how trusting he was to know Harry would take care of him when he became incapacitated. There is strength in being that vulnerable and trusting, which people don’t often mention.

That’s precisely what makes Dumbledores the greatest wizard and possibly such a great and strong person. He finds no weakness in what other would. That’s his strength! He is really powerful! In his previous battle with Voldemort, he even remarks that Voldemort insists on thinking that death is the end and the worst thing. That makes him the strongest. Dumbledores does not fear death.

*Book spoiler ahead* Harry didn't use the Liquid Luck to get the from Slughorn. He gave it to friends who would be a really bad situation when he left Hogwarts with Dumbledore to go to the cave. They wanted him to keep it, afraid he would be in danger and would need it. "I'm not worried," he said. "I'll be with Dumbledore." So, for Dumbledore to turn that around and say the same thing about Harry after the cave drama was so so amazing.

Harry didn’t use ALL of the liquid luck to get the memory from slughorn. He did use it though. He very carefully drank what he thought he would need (time wise) and it was wearing off by the time he got back up to the castle because he had to avoid filch and he did not have any issues going down to hagrid’s. Harry def gave the rest of the potion to his friends and they even commented that it probably saved their lives because every spell just seemed to miss them. Sorry i just relistened to this book yesterday. So it’s pretty fresh.

Fun fact, do you know that Bonnie Wright who played Ginny has her own YouTube channel called “Go Gently” which is the title of her book, also James and Oliver Phelps who played the Weasley twins have their podcast and you can watch their podcast on YouTube as their podcast “Normal not normal” has its own YT channel that you can watch it on, it’s so fun they interview fellow HP stars on many episodes and they reminisce together and tell stories from Harry Potter as well as discuss other topics and it’s so interesting, among their guests “ Bonnie Wright” who played their little sister Ginny and I love that they refer to her as that! Evanna Lynch “ Luna Lovegood” and Tom Felton “Draco Melfoy” also Katie Leung who played “Cho Chang” Harry’s first love interest, among many others, also by the way Tom Felton wrote a book that is available for months now called “Beyond the wand” which is a mémoire sharing his memories about the Harry potter experience, since you guys loved Harry Potter so much as expected 😁, I knew you’d love to learn about this and wanted to share. ❤️
