So it just occurred to me that the actress that plays Dolores, was also in Freedom Writers. Where she played as a teacher that antagonizes the main character (also a teacher). She is typecasted into playing evil teachers, lol.

I hated this book when it was first released. I was raised by my grandmother who is very similar to Umbridge so it personally took me forever to get over my hatred for the character to get through the book. It's an amazing book and it took me a while to appreciate Rowling's writing ability to make the reader feel Harry's anger and hatred in this moment of his life.

This is the only book I've ever read that I had such a negative reaction towards and it's only because of Umbridge. But I have read many books that they have ruined by turning into movies cough Twilight saga cough cough lmao but thankfully HP wasn't one of them.
