You guys need to remember that in those times ( when tolkien was writing the books ) there was nothing creepy in giving your beloved ones strands of your hair, especially when soldiers went to war. It's really innocent, and there is nothing pervy or twisted to it. It's more like a remembering token of your loved ones. Also, Tolkien invented several languages for the elves, with their own grammar, and conjugation. But he also invented languages for dwarves, orcs and men in the same manner. The writers for the movie were actually very careful to be accurate to the languages as they knew how delicate Tolkien was with it. Another thing, there are different ''tribes'' of elves, dwarves and men. There are different kingdoms for each race, etc. The lord of the rings is basically the foundation of all modern fantasy, and everything pretty much took heavy inspiration from it. Galadriel's hair is one of the few that knew the light of Valinor (a heaven-like place) It is this precious that a elven lord, Feanor, asked her three times for a strand of her hair to implement them in jewels, but every time she refused, sensing darkness in his heart. And for her to give three to no less than a dwarf is really symbolic. I'm sorry for the long comment x) I really paraphrased all the lore but i hope you got a general idea! Great reaction anyways!

I don't know how its happening, but i keep falling just like a minute out of sync with ya'll - its driving me crazy cause i absolutely love your reactions ( I subbed for Harry Potter, you made my whole month with that so thanks!)

We've seen comments about HBO max playing differently. Really wish it wasn't. Not sure why it's like that.

Love your guy's reactions. Can't wait to see the rest while watching the full movies. Have to say though, the Actor who played Haldir is not the same as the mean Colonel in the Patriot. That is Jason Isaacs who also plays Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter. Between the Patriot and Harry Potter, idk that I could ever see Jason Isaacs in a good guy role and not expect him to turn bad at some point. They do look very similar though. The meme recognition cracks me up too. LOL
