Just finished your reaction and I KNEW yall would be hooked! Its a shame not many people react to this show, its easily in my Top 5 shows of all time and its SO underrated. As someone already mentioned, it only gets better! It's also fun seeing you guys speculating about what is happening/going to happen, it takes me back to my first watch :D Absolutely cannot wait for next sunday!

Okay this was wild, I wasn't expecting this in all honesty. Going forward though I'm gonna need to watch this in English, I can usually watch in original language but the subtitles go by too quick for me lol. Looking forward to next week's episode!

I haven’t seen season 2 yet (now I’m glad I waited so we can take this ride together) and I haven’t watched season 1 since it aired, and I forgot just how good it is! Even having seen it I was glued to the screen. I remember watching this before Squid Game came out and just being blown away by the premise of a show where you could die playing games haha. Looking forward to the next one!

I was also trying to think of shows that sucked me in during the first episode since they mentioned that feeling in the discussion and (aside from probably a million anime first episodes) the ones I came up with were probably AMC shows back in the day and like Lost if we're going way back lol. It's fun to see what comes up during discussions.

This is one of Netflix's best shows in my opinion, majority of the character we meet are based on Alice in Wonderland characters, main character Arisu is Alice, "Arisu" is the Japanese phonetic version of "Alice"

I really appreciate you guys experimenting with uncut. I know it's a weird area with copyright, so thanks for trying some different things. I watch the shows on my iPad and y'all on my phone, and sometimes the player in patreon is touchy (like trying to do a quick pause to resolve a couple of seconds and it treats it like you clicked on the playback bar and jumps ahead/behind...first world problems, lol. But annoying. Whatever you end up moving forward with, totally appreciate you trying different things for the audience. Great reaction as always. I live alone but don't like the watch new shows alone, so having y'all is nice :)

This show also does the "3 episode rule", originally believed to have started in the anime "Madoka Magica", it's basically a rule that states, "if you're not hooked by episode 3, then the show has failed", Arcane applied this rule too, doesn't always apply to every show, a lot of great shows do not use this rule and they still are successful, but it's an effective way of hooking an audience. I'm glad you guys are hooked already, so by episode 3, it should solidify your interest.

Yes The Shibuya Crossing. if a movie decided to tell the audience that a character is in Tokyo, the easiest way is to shot a scene in Shibuya crossing.

Yessss! Finally. I appreciate the uncut version as I was trying to watch this in my iPad Pro (what I usually take to travel for work) and for some reason, it won’t play 2 vids at the same time. Kinda weird because I’m pretty sure it worked before. Anyway I’m glad you’re all hooked! I also didn’t know anything about the show when I first watched it but it got me hooked right away in first episode. Looking forward to more!! Glad it’s all 4 of you reacting!

I was recommending this show to my brother but he kept being hesitant about it. I finally forced him to watch an episode and there was little reaction from him until the next couple days he had gotten further in the show than I had. We enjoyed this series a lot.

Really? A game where players can die is really just the theme of The Hunger Games (which was possibly inspired by the Japanese novel Battle Royale) so I've always felt this theme has been around for years already.

Starting this show with you!! I recently started watching Korean and Japanase dramas, I wasn't planning on watching this one because the "game where you can die" theme is just meh to me, but still out of curiosity I'm checking it out with your reactions! 😊 The first episode went by fast and has good suspense. I'm wondering if the show will focus on what happened, who's behind the game etc or if it's the type of show that is just about the thrills and won't bother with final explanations that make sense (*coughs* Lost *coughs*)... 🤔
