Badd Medicine

That is on the list. I (DD) haven't seen any and I think they guys haven't seen all the films in the franchise.

Ben Hendrian

Another grand adventure*Lets Go!🎉🤖

Kaley

Thank you for reacting to this incredible film! What hit me was how much I related to Roz and Brightbill’s story. I was born very prematurely and had a lot of challenges growing up, but my parents were huge advocates for me and I would not be here without them. So this film had me bawling my eyes out, and I was so moved.

Alexander Alayon Jr

Yesss you guys are amazing!! 🤩🤩 thank you for reacting to this!!

Patience

This was a Treat watching with you guys FIRST TIME too<3, Thank you for being an AMAZING family Bad Medicine

MynamecouldB

Awesome surprise, thank you guys!

Johnny Blue

This movie had me ugly crying in the theater. It was almost embarrassing. If you've ever grown up with health challenges and not knowing whether you're gonna grow up normal because of it, this movie will rock you. Apparently, it's a trilogy of children's books and there's more they can adapt if they want to. Beautiful movie, art style, story and characters. A modern day Iron Giant. I'm gonna need all of the tissues for this rewatch. ❤

Alanna Banana 🍌

OMG YESSSSSSS watching this for the second time with you guys right now 🩷 what an unexpected surprise

Paul Yu

Gonna echo the ugly crying though it was just now on my first time watching with BM. Such a gem of a movie that exceeds in every category. Thanks again for this surprise reaction gents. 🤘❤️

Katie

Yes there will be a sequel, it’s been confirmed. Also I heard about it because I’m always checking upcoming releases in the theatres. It was also popular on Letterboxd

Kaley

Yet another role for Pedro Pascal where he is asked to care for an orphaned baby and grows to love it. My favorite new genre!

Paul Yu

Forgot to mention- I only first heard about this movie because an interview with Lupita about this movie popped up on my Youtube recommendations feed.

Aria Isara

Ohhhhh wait that wasn't in the trailer for this month was it? I was hoping people would recommend this movie to you, I saw the trailer a few months back and thought it looked amazing. Now I can see it alongside your reaction 😊👍

Kaley

I believe this film is mainly based on the first book in the trilogy-so I suspect there will be maybe 2 more?

As someone with autism, I’ve always related to robots and this film is no exception (similar to Wall-E and Big Hero 6). As someone who is very analytical, logical, and task oriented but struggles sometimes with social skills and empathy, I felt so connected with Roz. Her (I’ll use her because she was voiced by a woman) story arc of being “odd”, being teased, and observing the others around her and copying them is what autism is like. Social interaction is something that comes naturally to others while I have to study/learn it. As soon as I saw the trailer for this, I was pumped so my brother took me opening day in theatres as a birthday present. Along with the animation being phenomenal, I saw so much of myself in Roz. 🤖🩷 Edit: also the message of not having to be who you’re programmed to be is amazing. People often see robots as cold and unfeeling (like people like me) and I’ve been told I’m the most empathetic person people know many times. 🥹

Ugly cried watching it in theatres and tonight with the guys. As someone with autism, it definitely hit hard for me as I struggled to fit in and was bullied horrendously. Having all the animals and Roz finding their pack is just beautiful. 🥹

Alanna Banana 🍌

I hope you and your son enjoy it in theatres, Oak. Also I agree, I loved Inside Out 2 but The Wild Robot was INCREDIBLE. If this movie doesn’t get recognized by the Academy, I’m rioting 😤

Merielle

This movie was such a pleasant surprise! My mom and I just wanted to go to the movies and this was randomly picked. It is now one of my favorite movies of the year; watched it twice in theaters, cried both times, and now this will be my third watch and most definitely not the last <3

Kaley

Needs to win animated feature for sure! And I think word of mouth will help with the box office (comes out in the UK on 10/18)!

Kaley

Thank you for sharing this! I can relate to this as well. I’ve never been officially diagnosed, but I’m pretty sure I’m on the spectrum-hello fellow neurodivergent friend! 👋 That aside, I was born very prematurely (just at 1 pound, 1 oz), and was given a very small chance of survival. I did survive, but have had some challenges due to being born so early (having a stutter, needing extra support in school, needing extra PT support etc). My parents, especially my mom, were huge advocates for me and I wouldn’t be where I am without them. So I totally related to Brightbill. Having him be born smaller and needing extra support/assistance (making the runway, having him have a flying instructor), all hit home. especially for someone who had special Ed teachers, being on an IEP in school etc. So Roz helping him and go out of her way to help him get the support he needed really moved me. I also loved Fink’s line “Fly like you. Not like them.”-a beautiful reminder that what makes you different is your strength, and learning differently is ok and can be a superpower. Anyway, thank you for reading this. Sorry for the rant. I hope the directors and actors/everyone involved know how much this movie has meant to so many of us. 🤖🐣🦊🐻🌲

Alanna Banana 🍌

Never apologize for speaking your truth. Being neurodivergent definitely has its challenges but I think we become more empathetic and perseverant due to our challenges. I’m so glad your parents advocated and supported you. Thank you for sharing, friend 🩷

I first heard about the film through San Diego Comic Con this summer. They only had Kit Connor (the VA for Brightbill) doing the promotional interviews and I happened to see the MTV interview in my youtube recommended because the actor is in one of my favorite Netflix shows called Heartstopper. Kit Connor also works on the show with Joe Locke who's in Agatha All Along (can't wait for you guys to watch), and he's also on Broadway performing in Romeo and Juliet with Rachel Zegler who you guys might recognize from Hunger Games: A Ballad of Song Birds and Snakes

Amanda P

The one you didn't know in the DreamWorks title was The Croods and I highly recommend!

Amanda P

Just finished watching with you guys and it was fun having my first time watching along with you! Man what a beautiful movie, best one I've seen in a long time. I adore Kit Connor and I'm so happy to see him in more and more projects and I loved his voice acting in this! Couldn't sleep in any longer so watching this at 7am 😅 didn't need to start my day crying but hey

Merielle

It really is! Animated movies don’t tend to be my mom’s favorite and she absolutely loved it🫶

Kaley

Also love that they were all shocked it was Pedro. But it’s just because that’s Pedro’s regular voice lol-we’re so used to him playing characters with a gruffer, lower-register voice! (Mandalorian, The Last of Us)…

Michelle Kaiser

Bill Nighy who played long neck is who played Davey jones in pirates of the Caribbean!

Michelle Kaiser

I cried like five times at this movie for sadness to joy it was such an emotional movie for me

slavicandsapphic

If i had a nickel for every disgruntled father figure role Pedro Pascal has, id have two nickels. which isnt a lot but its funny that its happened twice

Kaley

You’d have 3! Fink, Joel and the Mandalorian!

important nobody

I just watched this with my mom and nephew. I liked it but it did seem long for a kids movie. It also felt like three separate stories they took and pinned together. You had the main objective getting Brightbill to migrate, then the animals fighting and then Roz trying to get back. It could have ended as soon as Brightbill flew off and maybe showed him coming back after. The animals coming together made me think of Open Season. Also, slightly traumatized by the baby opossum they showed he was ok but I swear I only counted 6 from then on! I was thinking about the overkill of the attack on the geese, but I started thinking maybe that's one of the few sources of food and they had to try to protect it from the birds eating it or passing a disease off. We don't really know what happened to humanity, but still RIP Longneck. I wanted it to end with her back on the island though that made me sad.

Una Katrina

I have just watched this with my 8 year old in the Cinema, what a beautiful movie, we both loved it so much, I even shed a tear. Sad I cannot yet watch it with you guys as The Wild Robot was only released yesterday (Friday) in the UK and it is not yet on any streaming platform, but hopefully soon 🤞🏻

Alexiani Gollarza

Mason: "this is going to be a gut punch" I think we made a number on Mason with our movie recs 🤣🤣 he was soooo relieved at the end🤣 can't wait to hear the review, amazing reaction guys!! P.s I missed the Answer, why couldn't he be here? Is he alright?

Alexiani Gollarza

To Diamond's point. When brightbill and Longneck started flying to migrate I was like "WHAT, already? That fast?" I was picturing like a good bye, a good moment between Ross and Brightbill and when they started flying it honestly shocked and said what I said and my mom said "yes, that's what happens, children grow very fast and we teach them to survive and then you leave" man, my eyes watered, I couldn't speak after that. I think that was my first time thinking of how it might feel to watch your kid leave. (not a mom yet🤭)

Alexiani Gollarza

I heard about this movie because of the recommendations here, so I watched it today actually and then again (today 🤣) with you

Conor Moriarty

I only saw this movie cuz of people talking about it on tiktok

Azmoz

I knew nothing about this movie, decided to watch because of you guys and went in completely blind just like Mason— what a surprise! Amazing movie, from the story to the writing to the art, it hit every mark. It’s a 5 for me.

Steven Warner

Bought it for a cool $30 on Apple TV just to watch w yall on a Wednesday night after a rough day at the office… LETS GO 😂

Steven Warner

I heard about this film because of the previews in the theater for Deadpool & Wolverine

Calcifer

Number 5 is alive! Aww I know you guys have already seen it but holy would love a Short Circuit reaction.

Badd Medicine

I don't think we've seen it since we were kids 🤣 would be interesting to see how we view it now.

Giselle Hernandez Torres

as a first time mom of a few months i really felt the gut punch, the scene where she looks at him butsees him as a baby made me bawled my eyes OUT
