The first time I saw it (in manga) I really thought the plan was to convince Burrito to help them. He seemed so done, so sad about what he had to do and I had faith that Armin would convince him to help them somehow.To see how it really played out was completely devastating

It's not that big of a deal. Soldiers die in the line of duty all the time, it's hardly tear worthy. It's not like they were tugging at your heartstrings a ton like in Naruto at the end of the Pain arc.

I kept waiting for you guys to get excited about Hange's return, but I guess the Japanese voice acting isn't as distinct as the English voice acting is. In English, you definitely would have recognized Hange's voice as soon as she spoke up.

The Levi vs beast titan scene was the most hype I've ever experienced in my life watching a series/movie. It's so fucking great, especially because up until then everything seemed hopeless. So many people died and we didn't see a good outcome, but then Levi shows up and absolutely annihilates this seemingly up until then invincible monster. Never before has a scene made me want to jump up and down in my room from excitement lol

The silence after that TBC screen was telling. The trio of episodes 16, 17, and 18 are pretty intense. Well, the whole show is intense, but season 3 definitely kicked it up a notch, lol. Thank you for the great reaction and commentary!

Y'all didn't mention the last row of recruits. Beast Titan thought the charge was done, but those 4 new recruits still charged even though they could have just scattered and left. They truly gave enough time for Levi to make his move. o7

something ya'll might like to know if you don't already, this anime is an adaptation of a manga (japanese comic) that was written and drawn by one guy! sure he had editors and other staff to help, but this is all the brain child of Hajime Isayama, who is an absolute GOAT!

When Mason said that maybe Eren was too late in saving Armin, this scenario is impossible. Eren literally had to wait for Bertholdt to stop steaming before he can ODM to his neck for the kill, thus needing Armin's sacrifice.
