OMG! It's here. IT'S HERE!!!

Sam Harris

its a very underated film in my mind, im looking forward to seeing one particular scene and the reaction :D

Caoimhe h

This movie was my childhood! I had two DVDs of it that I kept alternating to make sure they didn't get scraped too much. I'm so glad people are coming to watch and appreciate it

Cyber

this is such an underrated classic... people hated on it like it was twilight... until twilight came out and then they realized that we had it GOOD with stardust lol

Emily G

Great reaction! ❤️ I would love for you guys to check out What dreams may come (1998) or Ever after (1998) I think you would enjoy them. Just a suggestion. Thanks for all your hard work.

John F.

Let’s Go!!!!

Amber

Omg I’ve been patiently hoping you guys would react to this eventually! I can’t wait to watch along after work! I hope you enjoyed it!

I'm Batman

2 minutes in and I just looked up the cast, thought it was sir Ian McKellen but thought it had a chance of being the other dude and mason was indeed correct, the narrator is indeed sir Ian McKellen! With that being said gonna restart this movie and the reaction since I wanna experience the whole thing since this is a first time watch for me as well lol.

Anza

I watched this when it released in theatres, and sadly, there was like 5 people in there lol. It's one of those that got popular years later, despite having a stacked cast. Its such a great movie, one of my favorites. Another piece of work based on Neil Gaimans work, The Sandman series, on Netflix, is really good as well.

Katie Madsen

This movie was ICONIC and still is!!! I'm so glad you guys enjoyed it. Movies just aren't as creative as this anymore it feels like :( ??

LaLa

Just got done watching the reaction. I wanted to keep this separate from my excitement post. 😅 I'm so happy you loved this movie! You're right it really should be a classic and hits the same feelings that TPB does. The book ending is a bit different but tbh I like this one better, it makes more sense. Now you guys have to watch Good Omens! Same author, Neil Gaiman as well as Terry Pratchett. Absolutely amazing show, Oak will adore it. 💗

Angel Griffin

Completely off topic to this but because I’ve just watched it- you guys should put “dead poets society” on your list if you haven’t already seen it. I think you guys would love the story and the lessons in it plus it’s Robin Williams🙌🏻

Julie

Seconding Ever After! I feel like that's very similar to Stardust in terms of being criminally underrated/unknown to most people and having so much more depth and life and heart than most people would expect. They would love it.

I'm Batman

Okay, starting off I was sitting in my chair back was completely straight, by the middle of the film it had me sucked in. Leaning forward face a little more than a foot away from the screen and just had a complete blast. What a wonderful movie, absolutely loved it!

AbraxasBelzebub

I´m so glad you liked it! I love this movie and rewatching it with you was a delight! Thank you :D Talking about Neil Gaiman (the author of the book this movie was based on), there is a Netflix show I´d love you to watch based upon a comic book he has written. He also worked on the Show as well. It´s called Sandman and it imo has a similar fairytal-esque vibe... but a bit darker :D (on the other hand there was a bit of gruesomeness in Stardust too like in them old-fashioned fairy tales I suppose). And something else that came to mind and might be fun to watch in a similar fun/drama fairy tale way, just waaaay lower budget and even less known as far as I know is : The Magical Legend of the Leprechauns. I believe it was released in two parts due to it´s lenght but am not sure. But Whoopi Goldberg has a role in as well as Zoe Wanamaker who player Professor Hooch in Harry Potter. :D This would almost certainly be new to most people here too, but those who liked Stardust might just like this movie as well :3

Ethan Davila

This was based on a novel by Neil Gaiman, the same author who wrote the book Coraline. The many dark and whimsical elements in both of said books carried remarkably onto the screen in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised by your reactions, and I especially enjoy when stories I'm fond of put such wide grins on others' faces.

ScivarWarlock

I've loved this movie since it released. Haven't watched it in a bit, and only just realized Charlie Cox played the main character

Ihakara Waata Toby

I literally thought this movie was a fever dream i had myself 🤣 but when i saw the scene with superman bullying daredevil i gasped! no idea why i remember that particular part though 😂

Jessie

This is such an imaginative world. I love that you guys let yourselves get pulled into the fantasy. It may not have been super popular when it came out but I definitely consider it a classic.

Choux D Bruxelles

I'm glad you guys had so much fun with this one. I, too, wasn't sure at the beginning the first time I watched it, but now I revisit it every year for all the fun there is to be had.

Bartimaeus

I'm really surprised a lot of people haven't heard of Stardust. One of my absolute faves. It's amazing! You guys reacted to Coraline before, and Stardust is from the same author, Neil Gaiman. He's very imaginative and has a lot of great works. Great reaction, guys.

Bartimaeus

By the way, if it's still bugging Mason Quinn, the guy in Captain Shakespeare's crew that he couldn't identify, is from Band of Brothers, Sgt. Martin. Might be the only role I remember him in. I think Mason mentioned before that he watched BoB before, and maybe the other guys would react to it in the future.

Flynn380

Billy, the goat turned man, is the same actor as Mr. Weasley from the Harry Potter movies.

Angelina

Such a FANTASTIC reaction!!! So glad y’all enjoyed this! One of my fav movies of all time. I hope it gets a second wave of success 👏

Kathryn Murders

Agree with Oak. This definitely gives me Princess Bride classic nostalgia. Both movies leave me smiling, and both are equally corny in the best way that just somehow works. So glad this movie is finally getting the love it deserves!

BugBite23

I am so so happy you guys enjoyed this movie! It's my favorite and I've watched it dozens of times! It's such a great coincidence that you released this reaction on my birthday 😂 this is such an amazing, original movie and I'm not sure if you noticed but when the ghosts of the princes moved on, Septimus's ghost went down while the others went up 🤣

Christy Oliver

I loved Stardust. If you liked this I think you would like Ever After.

Olive_Sandy

Saw this in the cinema when I was 18. Loved it then and still love it now - thank you for the great reaction as always

Jeremy Burch

I love this movie, I watched this in theaters, I was the only one there unfortunately. After it was over, I was thinking this is great, why is no one here. It was interesting to see young Superman, Jigsaw and Daredevil in the movie. The whole cast was fantastic and this is how I became a fan of Matthew Vaughn as a director. I'm glad you all enjoyed it so much.

Marvin Prein

This was one of my favorites growing up and I think I watched it at least 10 times with my group of friends during high school. Whenever we got togethere, someone would suggest "Stardust, again?" and everyone would agree. And I agree with Oak, it should be a classic.

Jen Garcia

Since this is their second Gaiman adaptation I am hoping for their Gaiman era asap! Good Omens and Sandman!

Unholy Tater

I remember almost nothing about this other than enjoying it when it came on the TV a long, long time ago. Will be a fun watch along!

Bartimaeus

I feel like there's a lot of underrated movies like Stardust, gems that likely won't get picked for a reaction on polls but I know the gang would absolutely love. One such movie is a British film called "The Full Monty", which is absolutely hilarious.

Melanie

I'm really happy you watched this movie and ended up liking it! It's my favorite and I have watched it more times than I can count. If you want to see another film or in this case a series based on a book by Neil Gaiman, I would suggest "Good Omens". He co-wrote it with (the now sadly deceased) Terry Pratchett and it's a truly brilliant one-to-one adaptation!

Elizabeth Alexander

You might recognize Neil Gaiman as having written Coraline. Which only got published cause he had his publisher read it to their kids to find out if it was a kids book and their youngest was traumatized but refused to tell their parent that in case they didn't get to see how the story ended.

Kate

One of my all time favourites. So thrilled you guys loved it!

SICProwl

Neil Gaimon also teamed up with Terry Pratchett to create a series about the coming of the Anti-Christ called Good Omens. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tx28

Guys would you please consider watching 'Ever After' (1998)? I think you would really love it – and we would love watching it with you! :)

Shirlene Wright

Love this movie. Great Reaction. So many STARS.

important nobody

There's an alternate ending. I was so confused and then remembered oh yeah I had this on DVD and watched the deleted scenes. Alternate endings is pretty funny but I liked the sweet ending too.

Lani Meneses

I am so happy you guys loved the movie! To reiterate what everyone in the comments was saying... yes, the marketing was horrible in the US and Europe from what I heard! I don't think that it was horrible in the sense of "oh this looks bad" when it came to the trailer or promos, but more in the sense that it was NONEXISTING. So many people do not know this movie exists! BUT, strangely enough, the reason I stumbled across this movie WAS because of marketing... in MEXICO! I was born and raised there until the age of 14 and my dad took me to the movies to see it when I was 7 years old. He chose the movie solely because it was being advertised all over the mall we used to go to. I am not sure why the marketing for the movie was so big in Mexico, but I also know so many people from there that KNOW about the movie. When I moved to the US, it was jarring to see that NO ONE knew about this movie... I feel like it is solely becoming a cult classic for fantasy lovers but I wish more people knew about it! My dad and I loved it so much we went to see it 3 more times after at the movies :) Till this day, it is one of the fondest memories of my childhood and one of my absolute favorite movies. It's been 10 years now since my dad passed and when I'm missing him I'll make a habit of turning the movie on. When I have a daughter or a son, I am hoping to name one of them Tristan or Yvane in honor of him :) Thank you again Oak, Mason and Answer for taking the time to watch this and I am so happy you enjoyed it!
