FINALLLLLLLLLLLLLY! Its hilarious to me when oak is just jamming to the intro while everyone is complaining lol

Ushna Seeam

Yesss!! Was waiting for this!! Thank you! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

KamiGema

Aight, that’s it. I’m leaving work early. Still have a sick day or two here somewhere.

Roxane

I'm on my exams rn and just- let me get out + get my lunch to have a well deserved break. You guys really give me a safe space to enjoy during my most stressful days, so thank u. ♡

Jessep

has the video player changed? it used to be on another yt channel. This player does not let you choose quality :(

Claudia Escarcega

Same here, I was in the middle of a project and needed a brief break. It was perfect timing 🙌🏻

V STAN

LESGOOOO 🔥

Coen

I think it might be because their second channel got taken down

Shane Kolaga

The cliffhanger thing is a trope in Anime, they ALL do it hahaha

Kiki Varas

Don’t worry guys, your questions will be answered at some point, just remember there are 4 seasons and little by little things will be revealed when the time is right.

david ammerman

Weird on my phone I'm never able to change quality. I usually let it auto adjust until it's good

david ammerman

The episodes really like to tease and drag it out during these past few episodes. Later you'll see that it's all relevant. I used to hate this episode because they cut away but it provides context for Erens decision

Abigail.M

me too! i was studying for a test and this is a good break!

Abby Austin

You only really need to watch through the outros on certain episodes (like episode 25), and I'm sure people will point out more in future seasons/episodes lol

L Jeans

i would say AOT cliffhangers are a special flavor tho XD

Leslie Matsikiti

One reason why I prefer the dub over the sub is they get character names right. Eren's name is pronounced Aaron!

Kwisatz

Just say Eren like a normal person lol, I've never heard anyone pronounce it weird like that edit: not a knock on BM, I know someone told them to do that

Zack Sutton

Only with certain episodes there will be a need to watch the ending (specifically an important one) and occasionally after the ending song because sometimes they'll have just more of the episode itself.

Gabriel P.

This season only episode 25 has a post-credit scene.

DustinEatWorld

When you see„…to be continued“ at the end of an episode(before the outro song) there is no after credit scene.

J Knight

You guys' reactions to this is so funny and western 🤣

Caraxes🐐DT

Just say eren normal lol that’s how it’s said…also it’s commander Erwin plan not Levi

Gabriel P.

Agree. While I like the other seasons much more, I have come to appreciate this season a bit more because it does a good job at setting up story elements that will get payed off later on. Even in this episode there are lines of dialogue that are so relevant for the show’s ending.

Isabel Schertel

The sub names are pronounced correctly as well. The voice actors just have a Japanese accent. Eren is a Turkish name and the sub version of this name is closer to its original pronunciation. But all that doesn't even matter because people will always struggle with names or words they're not familiar with 🤗

Pathetic_Effort

Damn Levi really said: Do it or don’t do it. You will regret both lmao

szeth

Imo the whole pronunciation thing makes sense in an anime where they use Japanese names but many in the fantasy genre pull names from around the world like this one and it doesn't really matter how you pronounce it because the show itself doesn't pronounce them correctly. Technically Erwin is German and Pronounced Ervin or Jean isn't like the pants but pronounced Zhaan. Eren I just say like Aaron and everyone I know does too. I don't think it's that big of a deal

Pathetic_Effort

Yeah I feel you. When I first watched AOT, i thought is this the show people are calling a masterpiece? As whilst I loved the animation, the music, and the world building. The writing always seemed a bit hollow... for lack of the better word. But after actually watching all 4 seasons it absolutely lives up to the hype. It's crazy that cetain dialogue, or plot choices, or character focus I thought was "hollow" and questioned at the time actually is essential and underpins all of AOT! How the author planned everything out still BOGGLES my mind lol.

Magda Ch

The thing is that you needed to know that Eren had titan powers so that the story could develop from there, that's why that part was revealed almost at the beginning, but from there there are many secrets hidden throughout the series that will be eventually revealed, not all of them at the end of course, so don't worry, things will be revealed as the series progresses, I'm happy that you like this show a lot. Internal dialogues are something quite common in anime, which makes me love the narrative of this genre a lot.

Sydney

The lesson of this episode was mainly to show us how a regiment works. Eren had to choose between trusting himself or him team and Levi basically tells him no answer is right or wrong, do what you think will leave you with "no regrets". But ultimately trusting the squad ended up being the right thing to do in that moment, which is important to note! Him having a goal is a small info drop but I wouldn't dwell too much on it. This episode and the flashback we saw was mainly to establish team dynamics. Every piece of dialogue is important so make sure y'all don't lose sight of the overarching themes :). One more thing to note, Levi didn't know what the plan was either, it was all Erwin. He was most likely just told "run this way and don't stop, I have a plan", which also establishes Levi and Erwins relationship as well

Harlee M

Oak vibing to opening credits while everyone (especially The Answer) is pissed was already the best reaction

existentiallynowhere

inner monologues are super common in anime - as someone who has been watching almost exclusively anime since childhood, now when I watch other tv shows or movies, I find myself missing having the insight of the MCs inner monologue

wanira 11

Also, it wasn't Levi's plan. It was Erwin's, Levi just knew to keep going forward and to trust that Erwin had a plan. Just goes to show the trust in their relationship. They have worked together for years and Levi learned to blindly trust Erwin's descisions and not question it.

Calcifer

When I tell you I sped home from work so I could watch this 😂

Magda Ch

the next opening song is my favorite!!! hope you'll love it :D

OBBlade

Eren, Like Erin Brockovich. Jean is like the french/belgian pronunciation almost sounding like john, like Jean-Claude Van Damme. Everyone except mikasa is supposed to have a kind of a 'germanic/european' sound to it. And as far as the end of the episode. Always watch until you see 'To Be Continued...' and no further.

Andrew W

Damn, it's amazing how well this series is made for the rewatch -- this one always felt fillery to me, enough to skip or just watch an abridged reaction to on previous rewatches, but decided to give it a full-length watch this time around and glad I did. So many lines and moments throughout it hit different after having finished the show. AOT is a show that is completely willing to devote an entire episode to a single choice, and really explore that choice -- we see it with Mikasa's choice to 'fight' to keep living in the episode where she thinks Eren is dead, we see it here with Eren's choice to trust his squad / Cpt. Levi / the Survey Corps. over taking matters into his own hands. When it does so, it can honestly be a bit hit-or-miss in terms of how well it impacts the pacing, but I love how committed the series is to exploring its themes and how incredible a job it does of recontextualizing moments as you gain more and more understanding of the world and the characters in it.

Marco Gutierrez

There are a few episodes that will play the end credits through actual show/story content. It's a stylistic choice. Usually the show will say "to be continued" and then the credits will roll. If you don't see that message, then it means the credits will play accompanying story content. Another way you can tell is that you'll start hearing the end credits music as it wraps up. I know you guys don't listen to the end credits but you'll be familiar at least with the starting notes and visuals, so if you start hearing the end credits without the same visuals then you know you're getting an extended scene. As for the beginning of the episodes, it's a common anime thing to recap the previous episode or previous events that are relevant to the content of the current episode. These were all made in the time before binge watching and mass releases were a thing, so episodes were released on a weekly basis. They almost always have that recap at the beginning before the opening sequence.

Eric Wallace

Best part of Monday. Really hope that you guys do 21 22 next week and then 23 24 and 25 the next. We had a 4 and a half year wait between 25 and 26, you need at least a week between them to feel a little of our pain

Chuck Norris

Yep if you dont see to be continued keep watching if you do your good to skip dave

Jonah Bertorelli

Spoilers! Pronunciation! pay attention!! Other angry weeb things!!! 😂 lol jk keep up the good reaction boys.

Gabriel Lago

i remember watching for the first time, and literally the very first frame they showed the female titans face i knew who it was, and it is funny to see them theorize all possible scenarios, except the one lol

BlueDebut

Yeah like Japanese names can be a learning curve for me. Same when I watched Vinland Saga. Didn't know how to say Knutt too well

Yoyo

"To be contiued" - if you don't see that, you don't stop watching 😊

Ana

Loved the reaction and idc I'm gonna ask can you try season 2 in dub??? Like it's soooooo good. Eren's titan scream is much better. Even though people will disagree 🙄 I feel like the deeper scream is so generic and the dub scream is so feral like I feel the rage. I begged that you try and if you like sub better that's cool Imma still watch. But if you guys can't do that I ask can you watch the dub in your own time. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🖤

blitzman08

Mason Quin and the others, you were saying Eren correctly before, you don't need to add a Japanese dialect

lhh

i would love for them to try out dub. and season 2 only has 12 eps. i wanna see if they would be able to catch things better & honestly maybe even prefer it for reactions.

Papermaker

please continue using sub. Dunno why people think dub is better. Takes away from what the anime is suppose to sound like. It was made in Japan

Ana

Fr. Because they low key be missing some things or not understanding. If they don't like it I'm fine with that. But just give it a chance 😩😩 like I hope if they do MHA they do dub purely for All might

Leslie Matsikiti

It's genuinely not tho. Attack On Titan is one of many anime with amazing dub and sub voice actors

Xy Ocsalef

Love this community. Happy to be here. :)

Ana

Because some people prefer it in dub? Not that hard to understand. Sub always win on every channel. Why can't people who enjoy dub ask for dub if there is a chance? Sub people are so elitist that they would stop watching the reactions. While us dub fans are gonna continue to watch and support no matter the language

VoiceofWin

Agreed! It might be worth checking out the dub just for a season and see how they like it. Both sub and dub for this show are excellent.

Ana

Yeah and season 2 is soooo short perfect time to do it

lhh

i also prefer dub. depends on the anime. it’s just preference. why can’t ppl let others watch however they want without putting them down for it. i honestly respect blindwave for standing their ground on dubs. i’ve seen ppl go as far to said things like “ppl who watch dubs should die” like what?? so ridiculous.

lhh

omg yes!! i LOVE the dub for mha. and agree, i want them to decide, i’m cool with whatever but when you have so many ppls shoving one option and saying it’s the only “right” option is crazy. they honestly would probably catch names and just things better.

Ana

Facts sub is the majority so it always win. I like some anime in dub and others in sub. But AoT is soooo good in dub. I feel like they would vibe with it. Also I hope the next anime they do is MHA because I feel like those are their vibes fr. I can already see them cheering when things get hyped. I love AoT. But I feel like MHA would be their favorite one

lhh

right, it just depends on the anime. & it is SO good. i’m like rewatching it now & i keep thinking they would enjoy it also! that would be awesome, they should do a poll. death note, jjk, chainsaw man, mha, vinland saga, fmab, etc. haha so many. i love their reactions sm. i’m just happy their giving anime a chance ♥️

Scott Bringel

Eren is pronounced as Aaron or Erin

Katryna Lavin

Just a thought but since the episodes are labeled as parts I feel like it would be more cohesive to release per part or half a part one week and the other half the next week? It would also help any frustration with the lack of info since the episodes are so short. Also anime watchers are the binging type lol, love the content anyways tho

Marcos Olguin

Also despite it being in Japanese english subs have different dialog from the dubs some time. Often a direct english translation is still incorrect while dub writers have the liberty to change wording to make it flow more smoothly. Some of the best parts of watching dub anime are the improvements made to dialog, especially for western audiences. My favorite AOT change happens in season 4 which I won't get into here. However in Saga of Tanya the Evil, Tanya grabs on to an enemy and explodes herself after running out of ammo, in the sub she just says "Gotcha!" but in the english dub she says "I don't need ammo"

Marcos Olguin

The endings are best seen after watching the show a little into the future. There are a lot of foreshadowing and hints in them that don't make sense yet but will eventually. Come back and watch this ending after season 2 and you'll know what I mean.

Papermaker

lol i should stop watching reactions just because I prefer sub. Yea okay XD I didn't even harshly criticize anyone who preferred dub. I just stated my opinion and these replies everyone is up in arms. I stated my honest truth, don't understand people who prefer dub and that's that. Never went as far to tell people to stop watching reactions or people should die lol. People wild

Sophie

Eren is pronounced as Erin 👍🏼

MJK

All the pronunciation experts...As if having an accent is a felony :D The most important thing is that they know names well. They are doing great so chill ppl :D

Ashtail Foxclaw

I think the argument for missing things are void - since you're meant to miss things on your first watch. While I'm definitely more for the Japanese voices, I think there is merit to watching the dub, just for the sake of trying it and deciding for themselves. Granted, maybe they could do that with Season 1's first episodes on their own time and then make a decision for season 2.

Zachary Grenier

By the way you have to watch until to be continued after that, there is nothing for sure (You'll sometimes see they are later)

CreMa

oak is getting the hang of the intro

CreMa

i love how they got so into it

Ana

@papermaker no one said you should stop watching just what we see from people who don't want dub reactions. Also we know you didn't say anything rude just speaking on what we see from others. Sorry if our comments came off that way

Caleb Hill

One thing to note about episodes like this, in anime in general, when they replay a scene from the prior episode- that is partially for recap, and partially just to take up screentime. Most anime are adapted from manga that came first, AoT is one of those. AoT anime was wary of getting *ahead* of the manga, and part of the long wait that fans endured between seasons was in part to let the manga release enough chapters that the next season of the anime wouldn't get ahead of it. Sometimes, in other anime such as Naruto, this lead to multiple blocks of filler episodes. AoT isn't that egregious about it, and yes it robs us of some screentime, but it was partially *managing* the screentime so as to stay in lockstep with the manga chapter releases.

The truck

They have said that they won't do more than 2 episodes a week for scheduling/no time reasons. AOT "parts" have no clear pattern and for them to keep changing their schedule based on episodes constructed on parts with no predictability, would just throw their schedule into chaos.

Katryna Lavin

Hey! I don’t make the rules lol, just a suggestion. Also the parts are plot based. If they want their answers faster it would j make sense to include an additional short episode. You find your answers at the end of them usually. Again, a suggestion :) not a rule

existentiallynowhere

I feel like switching between sub/dub in the same anime can be confusing - you get used to characters' voices, names are pronounced differently, etc. obviousy I'm biased, because I prefer the sub, but whether they watch the sub or dub, I'll sync with a sub version due to my preference. I really just think that switching part way through a series could cause a lot of confusion, and when you've started with one or the other it's often harder to enjoy the other version.

Ana

But it won't. I watch the dub and sub for all shows. And I don't see people making that argument when reactors start with dub. I've seen quite a few reactors start with dub and be halfway done with a season and sun people come and complain and they switched to sub no problem

lhh

i started one piece in sub for like 100 something eps then switch to dub. wasn’t confusing. i switch on and off quite often with diff anime cause ppl are always saying the dub changes the character & story; it doesn’t.

Matt Kidd

An easy way to tell if you should watch past the end credits is to watch if there is a "to be continued" screen. If there isn't one, there is likely an after-credits scene. If there is one, it's safe to skip. Episodes 25, 49, 56, 59 and 63 all have post credit scenes, but there are some after that too, I just don't remember which ones.

Jacob Stryker

Diamond Dave adds a lot to the reactions. But y'all are great.
