Our Exciting Story of Youtube Demonetization (Patreon)

Hey Everyone,

A quick update regarding the Youtube demonetization of our channel in case you haven't seen us talking about it in streams.

The story is, Youtube didn't like something in an episode of Acting Lessons so they pulled monetization of our channel completely. It's not super surprising, and I'm not sure how much we really care about being monetized on Youtube considering what a heap of shit it is nowadays.

What does it mean for GSP? A loss of revenue and maybe a lower level of exposure in the algorithm for our videos on Youtube. Possibly some headaches regarding music or other rights issues. What else is new.

What does it mean for you?  Nada. We're still going to keep cranking out edited content on Youtube same as usual. Your support here on Patreon guarantees that. 

The only big change we're making is one we were planning to make anyway, and that's to livestream 100% on Twitch instead of Youtube. It also means we'll be streaming more often in order to reach partner status on Twitch. Tuesday Wed. and Friday are the current regular stream days we'll be doing. 

After parties will still be unlisted on GameSociety2 as usual unless they're movies and then it's Zoom and later uploaded here on Patreon.
