(Updated with Chapter 163)

Deviant of Humanity

Even though the Deviants are still human at their core, they have transcended the limitations of the species. The newfound nature may not be easy to accept to their kind as it can inspire fright in their hearts. Yet hard to deny are the virtues of a body and the strength of fusing that gets them into places never seen by humans.

The efficiency of skills related to deviation, changes, and power increased by 30%.

____________________________________________________________

Behemoth

Active II (Slave - 10%)

Whatever you use to attack, be it claws, fists, or fangs, you do it with the proper weight behind it. When you kick, it is no longer the tantrum of a little puppy but boot of a behemoth that shakes mountains. When you satiate your hunger, you can choose up to 55%(50%) → 66%(60%) of consumed food to be stored as an energy reserve, bringing your weight but not your size up to that of the behemoth.

The amount of stored energy can reach 2.2(2.0) times your regular weight, and with that, your [Constitution] and [Endurance] grow up to 27%(25%).

Tier II - Still more of a puppy than the true behemoth you are, yet one that is hard to cuddle in one's arms without causing oneself serious back pain. Your weight should not be underestimated as well as the sheer hardness to kill you that comes hand in hand with it.

The [vitality] and [vigor] of yours increased by 11%(10%).

Wrought Hide

Passive II (Slave - 10%)

The delicate skin of humans is not to be bared in battle, unlike yours. Every scratch, every cut makes it stronger, and your fur is no different. Whether burnt, torn, or cut off, it will grow back tougher than ever before, making it your shield like your hide is armor to you.

The [toughness] and [resilience] of your fur and hide increased by 55%(50%).

Tier II - You showed you're no stranger to a fight and don't shy away from getting hurt. You bled, shed your tears, but pushed on, further honing your hide.

The [resistance] of your fur and hide increased by 27%(25%).

Unbending Resilience

Passive II (Slave - 10%)

As fierce as you can be, you’re even harder to kill than you first appear. Driven by your rich nature, your robustness reaches unprecedented heights, making you an unstoppable force to be reckoned with.

The [resilience], [toughness], and [vitality] of your body increased by 55%(50%).

Tier II - Many have tried to rob you of it, and you had suffered plenty when your life was threatened to be taken from you. Yet you didn’t give in and instead connected more with your rich nature, bringing even more from your ancestry, and making your health even more robust.

Your [Constitution] increased by 38%(35%).

Call of Nature

Passive II (Deviant - 30%)

No matter how it came to be, you're more than a mere human torn from your roots. Connected to your nature stronger than any beast, you can call it to its full potential. Whether it's a human or beast trait, it will be 39%(30%) more prominent, and if you were to use the talents you've been pursuing to acquire, you'd find them 65%(50%) more powerful.

Tier II - To embrace our nature, what we are is nothing to be ashamed of but hard for many to do. You've done more than that and revel in nature of your own. For that, you'll find using your talents 26%(20%) easier.

Ride of Ancestors

Active I (Deviant - 30%)

Whether man or beast, all are born with instincts built on ancestral experience. However, the scope of this deep memory from which your instincts can draw, is much broader than that of others. With them, you can gauge the strength of your adversaries, let them guide your steps in battle, dominance, and love, or simply let them find your way through life.

Mantle of Magic

Active I

Magic is not a concept unknown to humans or beasts, let alone to you. The mantle allows you to surround yourself with a veil of mana, seep it into your flesh and bone, and by doing so, infuse your moves, attacks, and defenses with the power of magic. It is entirely up to you what kind you choose to use, as magic is limited only by your imagination.

____________________________________________________________

Fierce Pounce

Active II (Deviant - 30%)

Weapons are sharp and piercing. They can crush the enemy with brute force, and shatter the spirit of theirs at sight. But so can your bare fists and claws. Every punch, slash, or kick, every attack made without a weapon, carries a part of your fierceness slumbering within you.

Additional power to your attack and the sharpness of your claws increased by 45%(35%) → 65%(50%).

[Call of Nature] - Additional power to your attack increased by 65%(50%) and the sharpness of your claws by 65%(50%) → 97%(50%)

Tier II - You've proven your predatory nature, reveling in the blood of your enemies, victims, and prey. You've savored their power and tasted their blood on your lips, wishing to sink your dull fangs into their flesh. Sharpened by your fierceness, you can now do that with unprecedented ease.

The sharpness of your fangs increased by 45%(35%).

[Call of Nature] - The sharpness of your fangs increased by 45%(35%) → 68%(35%)

Midnight Shine

Passive I (Deviant - 30%)

Humans are not creatures of the night, and not every beast is nocturnal. Yet your eyes shine at night with the light of midnight moons, revealing to your sight secrets shrouded in the thickest of darkness and sorcery. Whether human or beast, little escapes your gaze as the night is as bright as day for you.

Clandestine Terror

Active I (Deviant - 30%)

You’re different, and you know it. Yet, you found yourself yearning to transcend the confines of your species, venturing where others of your kind dare not, yet share a meal with them. Change is something you embrace, but your kind despises. So you can either choose to conceal your deviation and walk as an equal among your fellow humans, or grasp your new nature and strike terror into their hearts.

Sense of Beast

Passive I (Deviant - 30%)

Instinct is what drives beasts from birth, but the senses are what keep them alive. Honed by ruthless life, yours are sharp and reaching far. Within a 260m(200m) radius, no breath of prey escapes you, nor does the predator’s gaze fixed on your back go unnoticed.

[Call of Nature] - Within a 260m(200m)→350m(200m) radius, no breath of prey escapes you, nor does the predator’s gaze fixed on your back go unnoticed.

Beast Core

Passive I (Deviant - 30%)

Still human at your root, you’re capable of creating what only beasts with potential can. The core is a testament to your abilities, a proof of your strength, a token of your determination, and first and foremost, a place to store your mana for times of need. As you grow, it will grow with you.

Silent Prowl

Active I

Every move you make is refined, and every step you take light as a leaf in the wind, falling to deaf ears. With the ability to mask your presence, to quiet your heartbeat, and steady your breathing, you can hide from the senses of your prey, should you choose to hunt from the shadows and cover of the bush.

Comments

Silerus

Gah, I don't know how it happened, but my previous comment is gone :( So again, here's my take on what she should choose, what she shouldn't, and why. First things first, what skills should she drop: 1. Master's Lover (Useless, even detrimental) 2. Painless Agony (Needs to be replaced with a general skill) 3. Tireless Machine (Behemoth will replace the Endurance aspect, and Indomitable Will alone should be enough for her to push past torn muscles) 4. Master's Shield (Removing this is optional and depends on how some of her new skills work) Skills I believe that she should take: 1. Behemoth (It's just perfect for her - Increased weight, constitution, and endurance - and it should be able to replace some aspects of Tireless Machine) 2. Wrought Hide (She's probably going to become a physical fighter. What she needs is to be strong, fast, and tough - this skill will help with that) 3. Fierce Pounce (She's not going to use a weapon, this skill is a must to increase her offensive potential) 4. Call of Nature (Overall boost, probably the nr.1 skill that she should take. This is going to improve both her body and her skills, an absolute must) 5. Unbending Resilience (Same thing as Wrought Hide, but even better. Both of them should have a beautiful synergy with each other) 6. Ride of Ancestors (I'm not certain about this one. It seems great, but also like it would influence her mind to a large degree) Uncertain, from the ones above: 1. If "Ride of Ancestors" turns out to be great, then she should take it, and drop both Master's Shield and Tireless Machine. 2. If it turns out to be shit, then I'm not sure which skill to drop. Tireless Machine and Master's Shield are both useful. If I had to choose, then I would likely leave her with Tireless Machine, as you can never go wrong with more Endurance. ========================================== What skill she shouldn't even consider: 1. Midnight Shine (She's not going to be a scout, her innate instincts, senses, and domain will be sufficient) 2. Sense of Beast (Again, she's not a scout, and what she already has without skills will be enough) 3. Silent Prowl (For a person that could choose "Brute of a Woman" as her class advancement, this shouldn't even be a choice. Just no) 4. Clandestine Terror (she's never going to fit in, this will only make it harder for her to fully accept herself) ========================================== Mantle of Magic - why she absolutely shouldn't take it: 1. Lack of stats - Her stats are almost purely physical, going the magic route simply isn't feasible for her, and definitely not optimal for her growth. 2. Needs other skills - She would need to take "Beast Core" as well, and not because it's a particularly great skill, but just to counteract her horrendous mental stats. 3. Doesn't make sense - Her stats are almost purely physical, nearly all new physical skills that were offered are fantastic and work well with each other, nearly all of her general skills are physical, she's training under a melee fighter. 4. She shouldn't need to - Given how overpowered Heart of Magic seems to be, if she had enough time, this skill shouldn't really be necessary. Heart of Magic by itself should be good enough for her to do all that she wants. 5. Useless at the moment - I don't doubt that she will be able to learn magic at some point, but right now she's a novice, and this skill will be useless for quite some time. 6. No time for it - She's already learning the basics of magic, she's going to be learning under her master, and then there's the city guard. This skill will be left behind by her progress. 7. Her fighting style - It's not fully formed at the moment, and adding magic to it is going to make it a nightmare for her to create it. 8. Next evolution - Given that she will likely shot through the levels, I just don't see the point of taking this skill right now. She should train the basics with the Heart of Magic, and invest in magic skills at her next evolution. ========================================== Edit.: Forgot to add what general skills I would like her to get. 1. Pain resistance skill (It's a must after removing it from her class). 2. Density increasing skill (it should synergize perfectly with Behemoth, making her a true tank). 3. Something that can replace Master's Shield or Tireless Machine. ========================================== And that's pretty much it. So, tl;dr, I want her to become a fully physical fighter at the moment. That will give her time to get stronger and create her own fighting style. She should start getting into magic and magical skill, after leveling Heart of Magic to a decent point and grasping all the basics, and preferably after her next evolution. That's it.

David Brims

With Mantle of Magic, I think it's viable because of Heart of Magic almost doubling her Intelligence and Wisdom. Statwise, they're not that far behind as a result of this enormous bonus. Right now, she can really only use that magic to power her tail poison attack. But Mantle of Magic would let her do things like temporary bursts of speed, toughness, strength etc... as needed by the situation. It would make her magic reserves useful enough for her to consider putting some points there. Now maybe Heart of Magic would eventually let her do similar things (and then replace Mantle of Magic), but she's struggling to level Heart of Magic, probably because she ISN'T USING MAGIC. If she uses Mantle, she might begin leveling Heart of Magic and could get some insane bonuses as a result - and then maybe eventually lose the need for the Mantle. I kinda see Mantle as a way for her to get access to some real spells. But maybe long-term she'll be able to learn how to do them without the Mantle

Silerus

Unbending Resilience bonus is wrong. It gets +10% from her Slave class, so it should be "38%(35%)", instead of "45%(35%)".

I honestly don't know what I was doing to overlook your post. I appreciate greatly your patience with me. Fixed.
