Glossary (Patreon)

Author’s note:

My attempt at a Glossary to the story. Feel free to point out terms you think should be in it, or gaps in information. That said, I'll try to update this as the story goes on - the information in the glossary shouldn't say more than what has already been said in the story, meaning no spoilers.

Array - a hexagonal formation of runic lines accessible in Grid Forge that defines the occupation of people. Through experience, people engrave sigils on this formation and open the tops of the hexagon to place weaves.

Array’less - a shameful/degrading term for someone who hadn't completed their array from those who from those who did. [what completing one's array means has not yet been mentioned]

Circle - runic formation in which glyphs are written to weave. Each new circle opens up new possibilities for the weave.

Eleaden - the name of the world to which Korra Grey was abducted from Earth by a strange little bug-like creature

Eleaden Standard - commonly called Standard, is the language spoken on Eleaden, the planet on which the story takes place. [How common the language is is not yet known]

Esulmor Ege Inn - the ruins of an old Inn located deep in the forests of colossal trees. Like the entire lower level of the forest, these ruins and the road on which the Inn lies are covered with moss.

Glyph - rune written on the weave after gaining the experience corresponding to the weave. Each glyph increases the general strength of the weave and all its circles.

Grid - a basic display of information about one; Status Screen so to speak.

Grid Forge - a place deep in one's mind. It is a place where people accessed the Lattice and interact with their Grids

Lattice - full name World Rune Lattice or just World Lattice is something that shapes the people of Eleaden through arrays and weaves. In a sense the System known from the games and many other novels.

Sigil - rune written on the array after gaining the experience corresponding to the array. Each sigil increases the general strength of the bearer.

Slave Collar - an iron ring, designed to be placed around the neck, covered with engraved runes which, when locked around the neck of an individual and activated, force the poor fellow to obey the owner's commands.

Weave - A runic formation enhancing the skills of its wielder, woven by the Lattice and accessible to one in their Grid Forge. For one to be able to use the weave it must be embedded in one of the tops of their array.
