New perks for early 2023! (Patreon)

Hey everyone! Starting with next month January 2023, I'll be implementing the most voted feature from the poll we did a while back: monthly community voted pin-ups!

At the start of every month, I'll put up a poll to vote on the following month's pin-up, consisting of a selection of babes from the fandom (I'm thinking 5-6)~ The poll will be open to everyone, and the number of votes you can cast will scale depending on the tier:

  •  Booba - 1 vote
  •  Big Booba - 2 votes
  •  Huuuge Booba - 5 votes

Since Patreon doesn't support differing weighing for votes, the additional votes will have to be commented on the poll, but that's for later~

The second new feature will be a new suggestion box for Huuuge Booba tier patreon to suggest future characters for the monthly pin-up polls!
This will work largely as the current suggestion box~ The first month's selection will be curated by yours truly~


Regarding other possible new features mentioned in the poll, here's where I'm at with those:

  • Discord - I'd love to set up a Discord for this community, but I'm worried about overextending. Setting up a channel is a big undertaking, and I feel like I'm not there yet, considering I have little to no experience in managing one too.
  •  Streams - It'd be very easy to stream with Discord, but without, I'm looking for a temporary solution that would support joining through links rather than a public access.
  • New tier above Huuuge Booba - This is something I'd like to do to in the future, to offer more complex thing I thought about, but much like Discord, I'm not confident with the time I have available at present (with having to split time with commissions and not completely burning out).

All in all, my sentiment for all of these is that it's better to implement new things gradually and see how it affects my current workload, and go from there~ I considered doing a big dump of new stuff, but if end up being too optimistic, and I can't keep up, it becomes a big mess and nobody has a good time.

Best thing to do with starting a discord is keep it simple at 1st a small number of channels also in terms of running it if your inexperienced is to find someone you trust who has experience to take up an admin role they can then run it for you whilst you watch and learn therefore gaining said experience

Yeah, I don't expect to run it alone, but finding admins for a group takes time onto itself, and managing a Discord takes a lot of mental real estate I feel like I don't have at the moment. With commissions, patreon and Discord, I feel like my brain would get fried at some point. Definitely a thing for the future, when I can ease up on commissions, hopefully.

All the more importance of finding a good admin there are many patreon creators who don’t actually run their discords they leave it to the admins and mods to keep things running smoothly takes time yes but a well staffed and experienced discord team will make it where you won’t really have to do anything

For Discord start small or watch how other discords servers to do. Finding a good mod is the toughest thing. But also don't be afraid to cut your losses and shed a few thing that don't work.

Oh I'm happy to see you taking leaps forward :3 Better take it one step at a time. Streaming and a Discord don't run away and you might still be able to make one later :3 But I'm looking forward to the votes, curious to see what grows from it! As a small tip though, consider who you pit against each other in the votes. Somebody like Renamon, Krystal or Loona will stomp the competition if they are less popular in terms of votes :3

Well, that's just bound to happen with some characters, I expect them to win the first ones, but even if they do, they'll rotate out for the following polls and leave space for the characters that haven't won. Either way, I'll try not to put a let's say Loona alone, with clearly no character even close to competing.
