Hello, wonderful patrons!

We’re going to be making a few changes to the Patreon in September, so we wanted to give you all a heads up. We really value your support, so we want to make Patreon as awesome for you as possible. Here are the changes you can expect:

  1. Monthly livestreams will be available to all $1+ patrons. We love having a regular dialogue with you, and we want to open that up to include more of you in the conversation. Livestreams rotate each month between the teams in Missoula, Indianapolis, and Toronto.
  2. There will no longer be monthly vlogs, but we’re going to post more behind-the-scenes photos and short videos in the feed to keep you all in the loop.
  3. Since livestreams are moving to the $1 tier and we won’t be doing the vlogs anymore, $15+ patrons will receive an exclusive monthly laptop sticker designed by Thought Café (coming soon), as well as a discount code for 20% off Crash Course merch at dftba.com.
  4. Beginning in 2018, we will move outtakes from the channel to the Patreon. Those will take the place of the character cutout at the $5 level.
  5. We’re going to add two new reward tiers for exclusive merchandise, including quarterly lapel pins and an annual surprise awesome item.

There will be a slight delay before laptop stickers can begin shipping, but we are in the process of getting those ready to go. We hope to ship the first batch in November. If you are a patron at this level or higher, please look out for a Google form we’ll be posting to collect addresses. Getting all your shipping info in our database is the biggest thing we need to accomplish to get this done. We’ll keep you all updated on how this is going!

We’re excited to implement these changes September 1, 2017! We think this will help improve communication and make the Patreon an overall more awesome place.

Thank you all again for being part of the Crash Course family! You make so much of what we do possible, and we truly appreciate all of you. DFTBA!

I think that the discount code for dftba.com for Patrons is a cool idea. I only wished it wasn't so hard to get things shipped internationally. Is there anything you could do about that? I live in Germany and I ordered some stuff earlier this year. When it arrived had to get to the customs office to get it. With a time limit of one week, a 40km ride and a full time job it was not easy to sqeeze that in. When I was there I learned that they needed me to come because they did not know the value of the products in the packet to charge me international VAT. So I had to show them the incoice and unpack everything so they could see that the incoice I brought matched the contents... So it was not only expensive but also annoying. Is there a way you could print the prices on the outside of the package? This might solve the problem.
