September 2022 Tavern LiveKit Server Keys (Patreon)

Thank you to the new and continued patrons who have subscribed for access to our clustered LiveKit server for use with the LiveKit AVClient for FoundryVTT.

The biggest updates this month are in support of Foundry's latest release of Version 10. FVTT v10 brings a new UI to the AV client that includes a dock that can be moved to any side of the screen. From discussions on Discord, this change may be controversial, but I did work to make the LiveKit module fit in with the new look & feel. I'm open to making additional changes in the LiveKit module and may even work on a custom UI specific for LiveKit, so feel free to provide feedback on changes that you think would help the player & DM experience.

In addition to this, the Tavern LiveKit cluster has been updated to LiveKit server version 1.2.0. This update brings some additional connectivity fallback options, as well as a new audio codec opus/red. These updates will hopefully help make connections, and particularly audio, more stable on congested networks.

As mentioned last month, our Discord support server has now been updated to be a Discord Community server. This adds a couple of new features to the server, and I've opened it up for public use for discussion of the LiveKit module. Patron users will still get a custom role on the server, and support/discussion channels for the Tavern Cluster are still private for Patrons only. You can also now subscribe to Announcement channels for the module and/or cluster to get notified on your own Discord server when I post updates.
