Thank you to the new and continued patrons who have subscribed for access to our clustered LiveKit server for use with the LiveKit AVClient for FoundryVTT.

You may have noticed things look a bit different on the page. I'm moving the patreon account to the "At the Tavern" name to better match how this account is being used. At the Tavern includes Brint (bekit), as well as Gordon (Adra). Gordon has created an amazing Discord bot for sending channel notifications or managing Discord events straigt from Google Calendar. Chronicle Bot was originally created because I wanted a good way of reminding my players about upcoming games. I highly recommend checking it out!

In other news, I have just released a new major update for the LiveKit module and the At the Tavern hosted cluster. This uses the latest and greatest updates from LiveKit. Initial testing from some users on Discord have resulted in very positive feedback in increased quality of connections and video streams. I hope everyone likes the new update!

April 2022 Access (valid until 2022-06-01)

LiveKit Server Address: livekit.tavern.at

LiveKit API Key: API202204v4opWH

LiveKit Secret Key: Viwlgabl8fzqMBiPtBbpXhuZc6GaNzL1z5OA2kMSETD

Enjoy!

Hello - great work on the LiveKit. I'm wondering if there is any capability to do background wallpapers like Zoom etc..

At the Tavern

Technically yes, it would be possible. However, since it would need to be done in-browser, the experience with this isn't very good. Zoom does this a bit better since they have native apps and can take advantage of OS optimizations. Since Foundry + A/V is already pretty heavy load, I don't plan on adding this. Instead, I'd recommend going with an app-based solution like Snap Camera or OBS Virtual Camera to add a background at the OS level and use that camera with LiveKit. This will be a much better experience overall.

Hi! great work on livekit :) how can i change the quality of the cameras? now with the addon is very bad, is possible to improve it pls?

At the Tavern

It will automatically scale based on the window size and connection quality. When displayed normally, the video windows are only 320px wide, so it is limited by that. If you pop out a camera view and expand it, it can scale up to 720p as long as your connection is strong enough.
