Hollywood's most awkward superhero-franchise co-parenting exercise reaches it's conclusion (for now?) in an overstuffed but by no means unsatisfying feature that's one part sincere, superhumanly-efficient payoff-machine for 20 years worth of cinematic "SPIDER-MAN" history, one part way-too-meta, occasionally off-putting (in an "end-zone dance after running up the score" sense) franchise-management exercise in which Marvel Studios builds a monument - for better or worse - to its own conquest of the past, present and future of its own genre.
