Hey again, it's been a while so I just want to update you all on my progress.
I'm a bit of a perfectionist so I've been working hard trying to improve every little thing I can think of before I finally start rendering (I'm still waiting on the VA so it's the timing has worked out great anyway). Some of the improvements I've made so far are:
-Higher quality facial expressions
-Higher quality lighting/effects
-Much less hair/earring clipping
-Improved camera movement
Plus much more minor fixes. Some things that seem so minor turn out to be pretty complicated to fix haha. For example to stop Yae's earrings from clipping into her hair/shoulders and acting crazy, I can't just change the in-engine physics directions because the dynamic bone hitbox thing is too big and her earrings start flying all over the place. I had to manually animated them. Their movement however is connected to her hair, so if I disabled the earring physics her hair physics would be disabled too , so I had to create a clone , make the clones hair and body invisible then link the clones earrings to the normal Yae's head, where I could finally manually animate them across the entire video 😫
Anyway, all I need to do next is character swap for Ganyu/Keqing for the Patreon bonus version, and maybe change the map a little to fit that more. Thanks for sticking with me again, this one's been just so damn annoying to get right. I hope I can get my next animation done much faster since I already have a decent work in progress that I showed a while back.
