Greetings Citizens!  How did Halloween get here so quickly?  Hopefully by now you've all received your CDs and stickers, and for those of you in the New Elite we hope you dig the patches this month. Now that you've had a chance to listen to the album we thought we'd highlight "New Wave Love Song" by sharing a bit of the production process.  Below you'll find links to the original demo version which has some alternate lyrics, less guitar throughout, and some other differences.

We've also uploaded Tyson's reference mix.  A reference mix, in this case, is the final version of the song, but in a rough mix that is used by the professional mixer, Josh Hager in this case, to make sure all of the tracks line up correctly. The neat thing about this ref mix is that you can really hear what Josh is able to bring to our mixes.  For example, you'll notice our mix is very rough around the edges, flatter, way less bass, and the guitars are super gnarly and fuzzy on our version.

This song was a funny one all around. Initially Tyson was calling "Space Age Love Song" - not realizing there's a super famous Flock of Seagulls song by the same name. In his defense, nowhere in the Flock of Seagulls song does it ever say "Space Age Love Song".  We also used ChatGPT just for fun to see what kind of lyrics it might spit out.  They were mostly not good but we did keep one line; "Feeling Lost, Feeling Lost in Time" - that one line inspired the rest of the lyrics for song which we wrote.. so hey, AI ain't so bad... for now.

We could go on and on about this specific song, but for now, we'll just let the music do the talking.  Please enjoy!  And thank you all again and again for all of the love and support of the new album. It's really warmed our hearts and inspired us to keep making new stuff!

IMO, one of the best cuts off Dimensions. Social Anxiety, also a fav, and one that has a haunting atmosphere that would make it fit on a Hween playlist.
