Greetings Plastic Party Citizens. Here it is, the long awaited, much debated, highly debilitated, never agitated, wholly radiated, and only slightly fabricated new single "Social Anxiety".
Initially we had hoped to have this one out this month but we missed the submission deadlines due to holiday traffic. We aren't sure when this one will be available on the streaming services, but it is available to you NOW!!!
This song started as an experiment in one of Tyson's "mr_computer_" song writing streams, back in early March. Throughout the year we'd go back and add a little here, delete a little there, and slowly it manifested into this strangely compelling song you hear today. The song really evolved when we brought in our friend Jeff Gregory to add some vocal harmonies to the chorus. He also played guitar on this one.
Fun side note... there's a line in the song that goes "do you wear a shirt with a crocodile?" - This is a reference to Miranda's former job, designing a bedding line for Lacoste. Miranda's boss at the time referred to their logo as a "gator" - Employees from the Lacoste company, based in France, were appalled at this and said something, in a heavy French accent, to the effect of--
"no no, it's a Croc - uh - deeeeel"
Please enjoy!
