Hey! I'm trying something a little different for this month's bonus video.

I've been enjoying the videos of Tim Cain, where he tells stories about his career in the games industry.

So I thought I'd try something similar for GMTK - to-camera vlogs, chatting about my experiences with YouTube, games journalism, GMTK, design consulting, travelling the world, and so on.

I also want to use this to help me practice an important skill: talking (off the cuff) to camera. My Developing stuff is heavily scripted and rehearsed, but I'd love to be able to just talk about a subject off the top of my head. So fingers crossed this helps with that, too.

Hope you dig it. Please leave any requests for topics in the comments.

Thanks for your patience while I figure out these bonus videos. I don't want to just create any-old junk simply to tick a box on the Patreon rewards. I want to do something that is fun, interesting, and worthwhile.

Thanks for sharing. These kind of chats might make a good podcast: I actually turned this into an MP3 for myself to listen to in my own player. Anyway, if you make more of these consider using Patreon's Podcast feature to share audio in addition/instead of videos.

i appreciate the off-the-cuff nature of this video. a stream of consciousness can be less succint and harder to follow than a scripted video, like some commenters here have said. but i think what it also reveals is more about how you feel about the subject, which ends up revealing more about the subject itself. thanks for the vid!
