Two Mark appearances (Patreon)
Content
I don't really do collaborations and stuff like that - I just prefer to spend all that time making the show better or doing Patreon stuff. But two invitations came along recently that I couldn't easily turn down.
The first is a podcast interview with Critical Distance. They've interviewed most of the big guys - Errant Signal, Noah Gervais, etc - and I didn't want to miss out.
You should be able to hear it here? https://player.fm/series/critical-distance/episode-41-every-game-a-painting They seem to be having server troubles.
The other was a guest voice spot on Region Locked, which is Did You Know Gaming's series about Japanese exclusive games. My episode is on the Ace Attorney ft. Sherlock Holmes thing.
It was a bit weird, to be honest, to be saying someone else's words. I'm trusting them that their research is sound and all that. And the script is different to the way I would write it (i punched it up a tiny bit before i recorded :P).
Anyway, that's up there.
If you're interested, the podcast was obviously just a volunteer interview situation, and I didn't get paid for the video voice job either (the idea was to pimp my show at the end of the vid to DYKG's 2 million subs).
Oh, and if you're curious - that IGN syndication thing just totally fizzled out. They simply stopped emailing me and I don't care enough to chase it up. I think they really wanted exclusive content which, as we agreed, isnt the right choice.
So that's that. Today I played a lot of Don't Stop Talking and Nobody Explodes on PS VR (a game where one player can see a bomb in VR, and the other can see a bomb defusal manual on the screen - communication is key). It's absolu brilliant, and more proof that VR is way less isolating than most people think.
I'm also killing it at Titanfall 2 multiplayer and I started both Watch_Dogs 2 and Steep and neither has immediately grabbed me. Oh, and I killed the elusive target in Hitman.
That's all - hope you have a nice weekend
