Hello! Welcome to the first Reading List of the year. It's a big one! It's got all the best stuff I watched and read in January, plus all the delicious content I consumed over Christmas.

I'm starting off with some alternative "end of year" lists. Forget the "game of the year" stuff, we're looking at the year in accessibility, animation, blogging, and loss.

Great collection of articles as always. However, I think you can do better than including Nick Robinson with a halfhearted caveat. In some ways this is worse than if you just linked to the video. By noting his documented sexual misconduct but still endorsing his work, you are communicating "I am fully aware that this person has made games journalism unsafe for women and other marginalized genders, but I'm still going to use my platform to support his work because that matters more to me than the people he has harmed." It is fuel for gaslighting. Only saying this because I genuinely respect you and know that you are trying to make games & games criticism more inclusive (your work on accessibility etc.)

I hugely hugely appreciate these lists (and all your work of course!). They make it so much easier for me to counteract boredom throughout the day with something productive rather than the same social media loops etc.
