This year's edition of my annual Top 5 list is here - this time, breaking down 5 great levels from 2017's games. Some obvious picks, some surprise inclusions.

I'll write about some good bits of game design / innovation from the year on Patreon, too, before the year is out.

i'm a little conflicted on this video. I understood what made Edith finch and Call of duty WWII seem like great levels but not so much for uncharted and dishonored. As for Mario I actually like steam garden more because of how well it uses one power to exploit a space but that's more of a taste thing.

P.S. best level for me was the Camel in Breath of the Wild. I loved navigating through the space while at the same time changing it to get to certain areas.

Oh noes, I didn't have time to play the Death of the Outsider yet, can someone tell me if the bit about the Dishonroed 2 level is very spoilerish?

can't wait for the video about her story <3

You don't have to wait! That was actually his video from 2 years ago when Her Story was his game of the year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFvbN3K6EA8

I'd say it depends on how soon you plan to play the game. I haven't played any of them yet but plan to do so for most of them, but I didn't feel like I was spoiling the experience for myself by watching this video

The fake description at 1:07, though. XD
