Hello!

A bit of a snafu with this one - you might have already seen it! But, that's all fixed up now. (And $5 Patrons - watch your inbox this week, I'll have a goodie to make up for the mix up).

Okay, so this is my video on Skyward Sword. I really don't like this game but I had to admit that the dungeons are pretty excellent. They're like an evolution of the mad and ambitious stuff Nintendo was doing back in Majora's Mask.

It's just a shame that there was so much to slog through to get to them. Oh well!

Link Between Worlds next. Then probably the Zelda 1/2 episode. Then Breath of the Wild. And finally, a Game Maker's Toolkit on Zelda dungeon design (which is starting to feel a bit redundant, but oh well).

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's dungeon design | Boss Keys

Boss Keys is an on-going research project to analyse the level design of the dungeons in The Legend of Zelda. This time, we're looking at the Wii game, Skyward Sword. Interesting analysis, seems like the dungeon design in this game is exceptional. Loved the 3D graphics for the elevator statue dungeon.

Fi was enough to make me stop playing the game after a few short hours, and to not have played any of the newer Zelda's since. I get that Nintendo wants to make it kid-friendly, but I religiously played Link to the Past when I was a kid without a problem. Either kids these days have become stupid (which I refuse to believe) or we have become afraid to challenge them...

OSW Review

Grand stuff! The GMTK on Zelda dungeons will be fantastic. Like the last section on Dead Space 3, it'll be a huge culmination of the boss keys series! Also V happy to see u will cover Zelda 1-2 for completion 😄

Fi is a nightmare, but I remember being more annoyed by Spirit Zelda in Spirit Tracks :D
