Issue 2 of Golden Guardian continues :
Since the last time we saw Gold, he has hunted many a spirit. New cuts, new wounds and new scars slowly envelop his body from all the trials and tribulations he has had to endure to try and aid the masses from an evil they cannot see.
Unfortunately for Gold, this current spirit has managed to overtake its host and has morphed their body into the hideous specimen you see before you. A rare spirit known as a Lurker, running on a pure satiation to hunt and kill. Lurkers, unlike most predators, like to torment their prey before killing them, this is the situation Gold has found himself in. Unfortunately for the Lurker, that was a very big mistake.
To this point, Gold has only ever fought with his enhanced physical abilities offered to him from his spirit. Those abilities are only physical in terms of strength, speed and endurance. Not enough to go against a being such as this. At least, not on his own, not with just physical buffs to his body alone. To this end, in but an instant of self defence by Gold. He swings his arm for a powerful punch after evading a deathly slash, just grazing his skin, with as much force as he can muster. In that very instant, he felt as massive gust of force emanating from behind him and, from out of nowhere, a large arm smashed the Lurker, just ahead of where Golds fist was placed. The Lurker was sent hurdling through multiple buildings by the monstrous force executed from this massive fist. The Lurker was dead, killed in an instant by the mighty blow of this hand. Its head, well, what remains left of it, was mostly pulverised once the hand made impact. The force alone from the after swing is what sent it flying through the debris.
Bloodied and bruised, Gold stood high, he turned around to see what was behind him. Manifesting from the lower weaves of his scarf, was a hand, pale, slightly translucent, with a strange pattern on its flesh. It work some sort of bracelet on its hand. This hand alone was the size of a rather large car and, the hand itself, seemed to look feminine, or effeminate, Gold was unsure. All he knew, is that the being who owned this hand, was big. As Gold was trying to understand what was going on, the hand started to move, a gesture of sorts, as if it was saying good job. The hand took the form of a thumbs up gesture. Then, shortly after holding that pose, it waved, as if it was saying goodbye. In an instant the hand vanished back into the scarf as it spun like a typhoon, then, as quickly as it arrived, it was gone. The scarf itself lay back into its normal form, as if nothing had happened.
Gold in utter bewilderment, not only that, but also dazed and confused from the beating he had taken from his recent battle, he slowly wobbled and started to collapse to the ground. As he loses consciousness, wondering what he would tell Diamond, when he comes to pick him up from a mission well done.
