All about Abraham the Jungle Giant
Hey, folks! – This Sunday looks like the last day for Calamonsetia’s current episode. Her battle with Queen Kulana will be concluded, and the project proceeding her will take over – this will be Abraham the Jungle Giant. This project is a big deal for me, so I thought I’d write a bit about it today. It is also a free project, so this info could be interesting to casual viewers too.
Just like another one of my major irons (Jessica Kim), the production of Abraham isn’t as simple as “one episode at a time” due to the heavy and detailed beginning that Abraham gets. I mean the story starts off with him as a child in a series of introductory scenes!
There is SO MUCH action, but it all requires construction, context and layering of the characters. This is an epic story, and I mean literally! Kings and queens, journeys and survival, portals to other dimensions, lost citys with ancient forgotten tombs, and a factory in the middle of a city that is invisible to the naked eye. And speaking of naked; There’s a lot of that, too!
Oh, and booze. A LOT of booze.
One unusual thing about the project is that it is an all black cast. This wasn’t actually predetermined, it occurred very naturally stemming from Abraham himself being a dark-skinned chap (I had a very vivid image of his appearance from the beginning), so his family were also black, and the more I wrote it, the more the designs of future character just seem to naturally fit. I realise there’s no real need to explain this, but as a white English bloke who’s a fan of black American culture, I guess I’m a little hyped to do it. Apologies if that seems cringy to say, but it’s just how I feel.
Another thing that’s different with Abe’s project, is that there is a whole cast/ensemble composed of mixed genders, good guys and bad guys alike. So although the male is lead, there will be numerous male and female characters who can be involved with the battles.
So there’ll need to be a fair bit of patience with this one, and although I have ¾ projects on the same day that revolve upon an episode’s completion, we’re going to have to play this one by ear. I mean the first couple of scenes are just our education about Abraham being socially difficult, but it’s those kind of scenes that lay tracks for what’s up ahead, as well as establishing his mother, a couple of doctors, and some details about him that are important in the future. – So it’s going to be story story story, then we’ll have to conclude it and let another project have an episode, and when it comes back it’ll be story story story – and I promise, when it gets hot, it will get HOT.
Good things come to those who wait, ay? - Abraham is one big jacked n’ sexy dude, and if you’re only here for the ladies? You’re gonna love his love interest; Because everyone’ll cet caught in the vines of The Vinyl Queen. :P
Stay tuned!
