The Honeymoon is Over: Characters & Setting (Patreon)
Content
Hello folks!
You might remember me as that guy who wrote a story a long time ago called My Little Fantasy but never finished it. Though this Patreon, however, I may be able to get back to it and finish it!
Recently, I've been wanting to tell another story. I don't consider myself a writer, I just don't have the patience I guess, so I approached a writer open to commission work and am very happy and thankful to be working with @GhostWriterInTheSky on this new project called The Honeymoon is Over. You'll find the first chapter below. I'm a big fan of writers like @minuss99, @nostromo, @TinyDann, and many others and have been inspired to write a story that I hope they, and you, will enjoy! I think "GhostWriter" has done a great job on the story so far and look forward to working with them in the future!
Without further adieu I'd like to introduce the characters of the story.
Main Characters - The Newlyweds!:
+Chad McCallum: Chad (age 45, 6'0") is a small business owner, managing a popular little 'gourmet' coffee shop and café called "Cups". He is Caucasian; stands 6'0", in good shape, with a bald head. A little geeky, yes, but he does enjoy hitting the gym for cardio, weights and swimming, and to just destress in the sauna. His long enjoyment of comic books since childhood has prompted him to enjoy the odd cosplaying of a superhero at conventions, along with his wife. He's a big 'Team Cap' fan! He tends to be a bit more introverted than his wife, Pamela, and will sometimes stay in and read or watch TV when Pamela wants to go out running, visit friends or family, or shopping. He met Pamela, strangely enough, after she would constantly show up at his café for a coffee before or after her shift at the Lift Exercise Studio or "Lift" for short. The attraction came naturally for the two and soon enough the two were dating, meeting their children, family and friends. Within two years they had married at a lovely outdoor ceremony and were soon off on their honeymoon. Chad is a widower with a daughter (Victoria, 21) and a son (Bram, 18) from a previous marriage that live with him still.
+Pamela Davis: Pamela (Pam, 5'9") is a 40 year old yoga and fitness instructor at "Lift", an exercise studio. She is Caucasian; stands 5'8", with a curvy but athletic body; dark brown shoulder length hair that she wears in a pony tail most of the time. Brown eyes, light smooth skin and a sweet innocent look on her face. She's also a bit of a geek and loves to read comic books, especially The Avengers. Her favorite character is Black Widow, whom she has cosplayed many times before. Even though she is older than many of the younger women who cosplay, she easily looks 10 years younger due to her fitness regiment. She is an open minded girl that likes to try new things, too; from eating live bugs one time at the zoo to skydiving. She loves going out with Chad to restaurants, a show or hanging with friends, but also enjoys her independence once in a while too and goes out with her girlfriends for Ladies Nights every other week. She can get a little wild when she's drunk, too! What happens at these outings is kept strictly between the ladies, though many have tried to inquire they remain tight lipped. Some have wondered if the secrecy is just to create drama, and some wonder if its meant to hide it. Either way, Pam truly loves Chad and would never jeopardize what they have together... not that she remembers. There may have been the occasional black out on some of her outings with the ladies, but only her friends know this. Pam was not previously married but does have one child named Anna (18) from a short relationship many moons ago. Anna lives together with Chad and Pam and her stepsiblings. Pam can be a bit ditzy at times, impatient and impulsive, but her heart is always in the right place. She never knew her real parents, as she lived in foster homes and was eventually adopted as a young teen. However, she does not keep in contact with her adoption parents.
The Kids:
+Victoria McCallum-Davis (21, 5'8"): Victoria is the eldest child of the household. Her biological mother (Chad's first wife) died 18 years ago from a car accident shortly after her son Bram was born. Her mother was her hero. So when Pamela eventually came along, Victoria had a hard time accepting her as her mother. Instead, she looks at her as more of a close Aunt and loves her like she does anyone else in the family. Victoria exhibits the best features of her two parents: elegant, tall, slim, intelligent, responsible and kind. Her father, Chad, has always said she is the spitting image of her mother. Having finished her Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management, she has taken a couple years off to find herself, working as a server at "Cups" while building up some money for whatever the future may hold. She never got in to the comic book thing like her father and Pam did, but appreciates their creativity and enjoyment around it. She occasionally attends a yoga class at "Lift", but isn't really a sporty person. Instead, she finds herself with a good book on the couch or watching TV, and is fascinated by true crime stories. She still has a few friends around to hang out with, but is otherwise rather introverted.
+Bram McCallum-Davis (18, 5'11'): Bram is the second child of Chad, born only a few months prior to his mothers death 18 years ago. Physically he is tall, fit and lean like his Dad. He is a bit like his Dad in that he is geeky. He enjoys playing video games on his new PS5, comic books, playing D&D with friends and watching horror movies. Contrasting to this is his love of playing football, which has garnered him a lot of attention at his school for being such a good quarterback. He is seemingly liked by everyone at his school too, treating people with respect and being a good listener when the need to listen arises. His successes are not lorded over anyone. As a result, he's considered quite a catch by many of the eligible senior girls. He has only had two girlfriends so far but has been single for about a year now. Bram gets along very well with his siblings and his step-mother, and has become a bit of a confidant to Anna.
+Anna McCallum-Davis (18, 6'0"): Anna grew up with a single-mother for the majority of her life. It is only recently that she has had an adult male presence around her as frequently as Chad has been, now that her mother has married him and the two households have been combined. Anna is a tall, raven-haired looker, getting a lot of her looks from her mother and her height from her biological father. She isn't a tomboy per-say, but she can be a big rough around the edges. She is very active in sports, particularly in volleyball which she has excelled at since first trying it out in the 7th grade. Now in her senior year of high school she is a very respected athlete. Growing up, Anna has not had a good relationship with guys or men in general. Her biological father didn't want to have anything to do with her or her mother Pamela. Support checks came in occasionally, and there were few and far between phone calls. As a result, she came to resent the male population. Sure, she had boyfriends in the past, and quite a few. She was quite promiscuous, enjoyed flirting with the guys in school, even college men, and once she was in a relationship with them, she'd treat them like dirt and eventually be the one to break up with them. She isn't cruel, but she can be mean. When it comes to her step-father Chad, she hasn't been won over yet. She sees him like all other guys, and worries that he will hurt her mother like her real father did before, leaving them high and dry. She gets along well with Bram, though. Probably because he is her step-brother, so dating him is out; and probably because he treats her with respect, and lends her an ear whenever she get emotional about life in general. She can be somewhat impulsive and not think things through, or not consider the consequences to her actions when she takes them.
