Something you need to know about the second movie is that it's a prequel to the first movie. Indiana Jones 1 is in 1936 while Indiana Jones 2 is in 1935. If you don't know this the second movie can be confusing.

Another case of adding to the title years later. This movie's original title is just "Raiders of the Lost Ark." They started calling the sequels "Indiana Jones and..." later, and then a few years back they insultingly added it to this movie. Like Star Wars (1977) which they retitled "Star Wars - Episode IV: A New Hope," this movie is really just "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
