Hey paesanos! 

Been busy working on stuff, just wanted to make a post to show you what I've been up to. I hope everyone has been doing well! 

I've been trying to put more time into doing backgrounds recently as I want to get better at them, having a character suspended in the void is all well and good, but having an environment helps sell an atmosphere for a little extra kick.

I figured I'd let you know where my game project is at as well, naturally there's a lot of going-back-and-forth with this as I find out better ways to do things, but I'm happy to say that it's mostly moving forward. Here's some rough animations for testing:

Run Cycle:

The original (the second gif) was too small, I needed more pixels to work with so I had to upscale it and redo the majority of this animation, which took longer than I anticipated.

Jumping:

"To the moon, Alice!"

Twirl Attack:

This is how you get around and murder things.

The Rake:

The first "enemy". Watch your step, it's a comedy classic!

I hope to do a more detailed post on this project at some point in the future, I look forward to getting this into your hands to see what you think!

Anyway here's a WIP for something I'm working on for the end of the month since the warmer weather sets in. (It might even be on time!):
