This is probably the most expensive piece of animation I've done to date. Here's a few gifs I have saved of the various stages this thing went though. I sketched it out in Flash because the tools are quicker to work with, then moved the project over to Clip Studio Paint then finally Resolve to comp the elements all together. The end goal was to create something that stayed on model and to translate how TF2 would look in 2D while taking influence from 80s to 90's Saturday morning cartoons.

In total there's 29 different drawings of the soldier in this 2-something seconds of animation, that's a lot to sketch, clean up, line art and render. Not to mention the background which was a project in itself due to being a tracking shot. It doesn't look like much in the final render, but that's a few 10s of hours for one person to do. TF2 is near and dear to me so I wanted to be ambitious with my 2 seconds of screen time.

The helmet, rocket launcher, grenades, class emblem and left hand were the only things to be recycled. The Soldier was animated on 2s at 24 fps while the bullets had to be animated on 1s so they were readable. That was fun to try and figure out (it wasn't)

Had to resize the gifs because Patreon plays them all at once and it's laggy. I hope you enjoyed the video!

I've also attached the full resolution uncompressed clip as a download.
