Hey hey

I made some progress on the main project, namely getting things ready for texture painting which is my least favorite part of the workflow.

But reality caught up to me and there will be things I need to taken care of in the weeks to come. Looks like the project won't be finished by Halloween.

Hope I can get all the affair in order soon so I can get back to this.

Meanwhile, the Musou Isshin is finished. The aura effect is kind of tricky to pull off but I am very pleased with its static looks. For animation, I will have to look into more vfx tricks.
Source design was not very clear so I took an artistic liberty and went for Japanese lacquerware styling for the hilt. I found a medium between luxurious feeling of a mythical sword and rough finish of a practical weapon.

Blade is solid back because this is where I want game engine to insert its effect. Stay tune to what I have planned.

This piece will set the art direction for the rest of the project.
