Without a doubt, Thorfinn's feelings have been carved into me.

What an absolute MASTERCLASS episode, what a way to bring everyone's growth full circle, Thorfinn, Einar, Canute, Olmar, Snake, hell even Ketil lol. I love that Canute mentions that he gained allies other than Wulf, coz until this point he's only had subordinates and followers, but no one was helping him achieve this paradise. And man, oh man, Snake saying his real name at the end, was a moment I didn't know I needed. Its just part of the beauty of this show, the writers, author, everything. One of my favorite parts of the season, and it wasn't some cool action sequence or super cool fight move, it was Snake trusting enough to say his real name. Right in the feels. And for the carve it section, I think the first time I saw it, I attributed it to the other side of strength? Gardar's side was war and violence and that is the way of the world, carving it into yourself and all those you meet. But one of the main themes that I love is that there is more to strength than just that, there is also the strength that Thorfinn and the others show, that's how they 'carve it.' Even to compare to the S1 finale, that episode was BEAUTIFUL but in a heart/gut-wrenching way. This is the other side of that beauty. Love, love, love this show/manga.

what's wonderful about Thorfinn and Canute's conversation is how Thorfinn called it from the start: how can i sue for peace if i, myself, resort to violence?.. in turn, Canute [will have] copied Thorfinn's homework and said: you know what, y'all? if you're cool with me being king, y'all can keep your stuff c:

Legit one of the most beautiful stories EVER like I’m agnostic and this story is like Bible level to me! It changed me and my outlook in life in ways nothing else ever has. It being a work of fiction doesn’t change the genuine emotions that this series made us experience. CARVE IT

the reason the start of this ep is so easy to cry at imo is cuz you know where thorfinn was and become and the fact that he was able to be the light canute needed is the most beautiful way to end a second season and show character growth!!
