The song Tadano sang ("Fixed-point Observation" by BEEF OR CHICKEN) is a parody of an actual song called "Astronomical Observation" by BUMP OF CHICKEN. They're the same band that did Spy x Family OP2 (and a bunch of other anime, too).

This show is a treasure. Watched this one on a whim and it became one of my fav slice of life anime. Definitely looking forward to your reactions for S2. Personally, I feel S2 is a good step up from S1.
