that first part...holy intense omfg

also i adored hearing thorfinn talk about the steps he wants to take to become better. making a change often means starting small, and that's something i need to remind myself of! small steps are worthy. 🫶

also as a side note: i love that you’re all excited for upcoming reactions, but please try not to mention/hype up specific episodes (like saying something like “you’re not ready for episode 18” etc etc) I’d like to go into these episodes as blind as possible to get the most organic viewing experience. thank you!! 🥹

Thorfinn's growth 🥺

Sacha

The love I have for Thorfinn is actually indescribable. And seeing more and more anime watchers grow to love him this year with season 2 outt honestly makes me want to cry. The fact that he is now in a place where he can actually vocalise his thoughts and feelings and someone is actually there to listen when he spent over a decade of his young life confiding with no one … be right back just gunna cry my eyes out! 😭 This episode is in my top 5 of the season. The direction, atmosphere, visuals, ost etc elevated Yukimura’s beautiful prose. This episode is simply two pairs of people emotionally connecting with one another and for me Vinland will always excel at the small moments of human connections.

nah this shot was one of my favorites in the series carrying hte burden of his guilt ... 10:00 ..... anyway .... Snake zaddy

I feel bad for Arnheid as she's a genuinely nice person, and has to deal with the situation with her husband as well as being a slave; Arnheid doesn't deserve to experience any of this. Also, when Gardar apologize to Arnheid for leaving her side for war, she probably saw a part of her husband that still exists within him, and was brought back to better times which is something that can be unbearable for anyone to experience.

That moment Thorfinn remembers Vinland is magical. And this episode perfectly encapsulateds the depths of dispair and this new hope of Vinland on the other hand.

You're one of my fav reactors and I look forward to each day! Baby goals will turn into a big goal down the road, trust

That image of Thorfinn with the dead dragging him down is one of my favorite images ever, especially in the manga. Our boy is becoming like his father <3

it's SO GOOD the way this episode showed the gears in Arnheid's heads turning, thinking hard about taking action or letting the storm pass based on the conversation with Sverkell. I just feel so so bad for her

Drunken Swordsman

I've always loved the addition of historical figures like Leif Ericson and his travels to America
