This episode's opening scene makes me sob uncontrollably, after having finished the season. Also yes. The opening credits and song are majestic! Also also Alana you look freaking gorgeous in this video, even more than usual. That sweater looks fire, and oh so cozy.

It is important to remember that after Canute killed Askeladd, Thorfinn attempted to kill Canute and nearly succeeded, scarring Canute’s face. Typically someone who did that would be immediately executed.

You're right, the first episodes of this season are slow, but there are slow with a good purpose; the writing in this season is carefully crafted for character development and emotional impact. Also, fyi, season 2 is the "Slave Arc" in the Vinland Saga series. Lastly, you're going to need to go on Amazon and start buying boxes of tissues for this season. I'm not the kind of guy that gets emotional, but this season hit me at the core at times.

Hi, I just want to clarify the location as the anime seems to forget to mention it sometimes... They are now in Denmark. Einar was captured in England, brought to the slave market in Denmark, and then purchased by the owner whose farmland is in the coastal area of Denmark. Hope you enjoy the rest of the season!

In a way, it feels like nothing happened this episode, especially compared to the action packed episodes at the end of season 1...but the entire package of this episode is very emotional in an "if you know, you know" kind of way

So excited for you to continue! While I was reading the manga first, the wait for season 2 of the anime was torture! We didn't even know if we would get one. While it's highly regarded, it's not the most popular series, and kinda niche.
