FINALLY glad you enjoyed

Stefano

😭😭😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️

M Khan

I'm SO glad we have another season to go. This is a special journey, Alana!

Stefano

Alana, now think about the fact that this whole season was essentially just the prologue to the real story... 😭😭😭

The tears are not gonna stop anytime soon, season 2 here we go!

Dkai

One of the best season finales for a show ever and the only show to make me actually breakdown. Cant wait for Farmland Saga aka PEAK.

Why It

Never would have thought after the first 5 episodes that the show would make us cry for askeladd. Such an amazing show, can't wait for ur season 2 reaction!

M Khan

Crying at this episode is a totally normal response, it's like the moment people realize their true feelings for Askeladd an his character. The concept of fatherhood is an ongoing theme in this show in so many ways, as you've already probably noticed

James

Askeladd killed his father Askeladd killed Thorfinn's father Askeladd killed Canute's father Askeladd died as a father figure to Thorfinn

Petter Turi

Noooo, Ashechad! Fun fact I am from Norway. And it's very funny to me how Americans and Japanese pronounce Scandinavian names and places. It varies which pronounces I find better, but it's very funny how both pronounce, ''Bjørn''. No one gets it right, and in Norway, it means bear. But people also use it as a name over here.

Grimjaw

let me give you my condolences, i know how it feels losing Askeladd for the first time, we all know… he is the goat and we all miss him

Why It

The writing is so good, one of my favorite shows, not just anime, of all time

Grimjaw

and another thing to mention thank you so much for these reactions because i literally dream about season 3 being announced already and rewatching it with you is helping me being patient can’t wait to watch season 2 with you and be prepared for a masterpiece of a character development

noon

Cinema. Holy shit that was an awesome reaction, glad u loved it!

ivan reyes

Can't wait for season 2 reaction. Personally I love season 2 but alot people don't. Even though Askeladd has done horrible things he was a good mentor/father figure to Thorfinn.

Dkai

Become a true warrior Thorfinn son of Thors :')

Kei

Don't worry, Alana. You're not the only one who cried really hard in this episode 😂 I can't get over this episode for like... months. Now i can't wait for S2 reaction! Prepare lots of tissues tho :D

Gabriel Barott

This final episode of S1 and the entirety of S2 are what made this show S tier for me. I'm so excited to see your reactions to the coming season, because it is brilliant :)

Ryan Lee

Long live the man covered in ash!

JoJoRenegade

This was basically a prequel the true story of vinland saga is now

Nathan Garza

I was honestly not expecting these final several episodes so to be so PEAK.

Anonymous

He was a cruel, cunning, proud and slightly tender villain. I can't help but love him!!

Cation

The setup.. The shock.. The ending.. This show is one of a kind, all hail King Lucius!!! Loved your reaction (sorry for enjoying seeing you cry so much) Thorfinns voice actor went all in this episode. Now the story and the journey of Thorfinn begins and the prologue ends! Can't wait for season 2, you will love it I'm sure of it. There is a reason why Vinland is so highly rated, rightfully so. It just happened to be the underdog and not so popular amongst other shows that are at the top. So happy more people are reacting to this gem. Top Anime, top Manga. "That's your real fight... Become a true warrior, son of Thors." Will always miss you king

Personally think season 2 is much better than season 1 and that’s saying something because season 1 is so good, season 2 is one of my favourite seasons OAT any show any medium

Joker WINS

R.I.P Thorfinn’s second dad

ivan reyes

Totally agree since there's minimum action in season 2. Just like how Death Note has no action but the written is so good which makes it a great anime

Jay Craig

Season 2 is straight up in the argument for one of the single best seasons of anime ever made so at least you've still got that to look forward to

Lawlach

Thorfinn losing 2 father figures in his life, especially when you realize he spent more time with Askeladd than he did with Thors and his family, thats enough to break a man. Incredible reaction and season 2 will be amazing.

shane

WOOO been absolutely loving this reaction so far. cant wait for season 2, one of my all time favorite seasons of any show.

You gonna need a lot more tissues for season 2 :,)

this is one long ass username

A lot of reactors that usually don’t shed tears cried at Askeladds death. Main example that came to mind is Roshi from YaBoyRoshi, that man is heartless and even he got in his feels and cried and so did many of us 😂 Basically don’t feel bad at all, because the way you react to stuff genuinely is what makes us "fans" of you and your channel. PS: Loved the scene where he dropped the knife as they dragged him out and it was basically him STILL reaching for Askeladd clearly conveying that there was more to their relationship than just Thorfinns wish to kill Daddy#2…I mean Askellad.

ThaDoubleB

While I too think Season 2 is better, I think the high moments of Season 1 are unmatched. But episode to episode Season 2 is better.

MishkaTho

HAHAHA !!!! ‘Fuuuuuck thiiiis shooooow!!!’ You felt it now !! You’re one of us !! Welcome to Peakland Saga. 👑 be prepared for s2 …

MishkaTho

Oh and please react to the OP of s02 while you watch episode 1 😊

Goob

The reveal that all of this was the prologue was so mind blowing but makes so much sense. Now the start of the overarching story at hand begins. He had two hopes in mind for the two boys he left behind. Thorfinn to become a true warrior. And Canute to become a new Artorius. And HE did it in the end. Not a hero. Not a God. But a person. The story that follows is what many consider to be a masterpiece.

Rubi_pica

Such a great finally hits so hard cant wait for the start of farmland saga!!!

Krieger

Great reaction as always. Askeladd is probably one of the best antiheroes in any form of media.

YawnSong

I was crying right there with you lol and every time ive seen it since.

Sacha

Isn’t it beautiful that Askeladd in his final moments tries to set the boy he raised on the right path. Floki was right there and Askeladd still never told Thorfinn about the role that Floki played in his father’s death. Askeladd wanted Thorfinn out of this mess.

Sacha

Also if you want another reason to love this episode go to the timestamp 11:58 of this video. If you cover the right side of Thorfinn’s face it is pure rage. But if you do the opposite and cover the left side of his face it is pure anguish and hurt. Just with a facial expression they are able to convey the torn heart of Thorfinn. Still the rage is there but the thing that he never could understand untill Askeladd’s final moments was that this is his second father dying in front of him. Oh and don’t worry when if first watched this I cried soo hard I gave myself a migraine. We are all there right with you.

Noah Glenn

After finishing season 2 this became my favorite anime, it topped aot for me. This show is amazing

I rewatched the first season with you for the first time after a couple of years and I was sobbing along side you.. You'll love season 2.

Viktor Engholm

Thank you for this season of reacting to this absolutely amazing show! In an interview, the author of the manga Makoto Yukimura said he didn't fully understand what Askeladd felt or thought about Thorfinn until the very last scene. In that moment of crisis and crescendo it all became clear, and it's somehow been perfectly captured by how we, the audience react to him as well! We hate him, he killed Thors, he's a terrible man, but he's so fun to watch, his schemes are great, his ambition is infectious. All that exists at the same time, and when we lose it, just like Thorfinn, we miss all of it. The anime did a great job capturing that again, but with the hindsight that Yukimura didn't yet have. Special shout-out to the voice actors bringing their A-game in all the emotional scenes! Looking forward to reliving next season with you! The end of this part of the story, and the next full arc fully set Vinland Saga as one of my favorite stories of all time.

PJ

I cried a lot too in this episode. This is my first time seeing you sob like that tho. thats what a reaction should be in this masterpiece of show. bless you Alana.

Sean Espiritu

top 5 alana misako reactions !!

Brendan C

thank you for your genuine reaction, i cried too. what an amazing story ;-;

Felipe Aravena

yesterday i finished s1 and just minutes ago i watched your reaction to the season finale. don't worry about crying, that moment was perfectly done and deserved the tears. when i was reading the manga yesterday (i'm currently on volume 9, some episodes further from this season finale) that part destroyed me. i almost never comment, but i've been a sub from a long time on your yt channel and a patreon just recently to watch Vinland with you, and i've always thought that you're super smart, insightful, and wholesome to watch. you quickly catch on a lot of things the majority of reactors don't even consider. it's pretty fun watching you... and i just wanted to thank you, Alana. anyways, this was long, but just thank you so much! take care! ps: i'm also on the love-hate train of Askeladd, what a perfectly written character, mygod.

"okayy.. yeeey~ 😭😭 yay, Canute 😥" -- i felt that
