I'll just let you know that in this OVA they adapted (poorly) half of the shin novels. The ending scene in the OVA is just halfway of this arc, which was made specifically to release with the Visual Novel game, and you know how Visual Novels go, there must be a route for every girl. It was impossible to put all of Shin in only 23 mins, but seeing it ends halfway of the story is even worse... I hope at least they'll make another OVA for the other half.

Yes, Komachi is now the Service Club president. If you go back to the end of ep.12 and freeze the screen on the club authorization sheet Iroha had it will show Komachi as president, and Hachiman and Yukino as simple members.

While I did feel that the OVA was strange and there were definitely parts that I disliked, I also think that people are overreaction and that they're misunderstanding the intent. To me, it didn't feel like Yuigahama was trying to create conflict or steal Hikigaya away from Yukinoshita, especially since she even said that she was going to give up at some point. To me it felt like this is Yuigahama's way of telling Yukinoshita to treat Hikigaya well while also putting up somewhat of a fight, however hopeless it is, until she eventually gives up. I do think a lot of this OVA was unnecessary and I also think that they failed to convey the message that they were trying to get across but I believe that if what they were trying to convey was that the fight was still on and that Yuigahama still has chance, they would have made the interaction less playful and they would have had Yukinoshita react differently. People also seem to be forgetting that fact that there is no way Hikigaya would actually leave Yukinoshita behind to be with Yuigahama, he even told her that he couldn't respond to her confession which to me basically seems like a rejection. Idk, I just felt like I needed to say this since a lot of people are getting the wrong idea but you're welcome to think whatever you want. Sorry for ranting

sadly this ova is cannon. iroha and komachi pretty much egg on yui to steal 8man from yukino, theres still stuff after this ova so maybe years later well get the real ova that concludes the story cuz leaving it on this is just destroying the series
