the changeup from wholesome nice doctor to fully embracing the edgy teen niche for aqua is pretty hilarious

I love that even though the story is quite serious, you can still see Akasaka's humor. Even though he didn't draw the manga himself you can still see his style of visual comedy like when Kana was shook that Aqua wasn't in performing arts and it looked like it came straight from Kaguya.

I don't mind Aqua being a bit emo. I don't think anyone spending a decade isolated and wracked with guilt is coming out the other side all smiles and rainbows.
