Who is Nijika? For the blind, she is vision. For the hungry, she is the chef. For the thirsty, she is water. If Nijika thinks, I agree. If Nijika speaks, I'm listening. If Nijika has a million fans, I am one of them. If Nijika has ten fans, I am one of them. If Nijika has only one fan, that is me. If Nijika has no fans, I no longer exist. If the whole world is against Nijika, I am against the whole world. I will love Nijika until my very last breath.

Ara Araragi

Be sure to watch the ED next episode. It's the same song, but it gets the chibi animation like the first two EDs and it's great.

"Look at these two guys just being dudes!" The guy: "I think my wife is cheating on me and I've been considering killing myself." lmao

This has to be one my fav TV episodes ever and I've rewatched the That Band scene like 50 times already. And the Nijika-Bocchi scene at the end, is just perfect!!

This is solidly my favorite episode of the show. I remember distinctly when I saw Bocchi stomp that pedal, I immediately was struck by the symbolism of her taking another huge step in her development, just like when they emphasized her step as she chased after Kita to tell her to stay in ep 3. Also not only do we get the title drop at the end, they allude in the first performance of the ep that the band is playing kinda shaky and out of sync, so Bocchi in this moment takes what she learned playing in the street and uses her big solo to communicate to the rest of the band that she’s giving them a strong foundation to build the rest of the song on and instead of Bocchi being bad at playing in sync with an already shaky band, they let her take the lead and sync up to her. Thus Bocchi being the rock as in the foundation for the band’s sound.

The author wrote a companion chapter to the anime that delves deeper into Nijika and her sister's relationship and her investing in a club for her. It's really touching and even if you don't read the manga the chapter is amazing and touching. It also doesn't spoil anything but it's cute as hell
