happy friday yall!! im providing an extended reaction for today's episode!

The floating-out-of-body imagery is a little confusing. Shin has a habit of "taking a step back" to stop and calmly assess a situation from an objective standpoint. This is visualized as him floating above a scene in order to consider the big picture. We saw him do this in ep1 after getting slapped, and it seemed like the same thing was happening after he got stabbed this episode, but then he ended up getting pulled back and hearing/seeing Ushio, so something more was going on this time. I won't say more because it'll get explained in more detail later, but just know that if you see floating Shin while he's thinking about a problem, it's probably just a visual representation.
