Sorry I probably gonna ramble a lot, but you can ignore it if it's too much of a hassle lol. Things that are interesting here to pick up: Betelgeuse is a spirit. It's established by Regulus defining him so. So it ties back to Beatrice, a spirit herself, who once informed by Subaru that he was killed by him, said "So you left me too, Geuse." This is also a pivotal moment for his existence, as we see him assimilate forcefully, despite not being a good enough vessel for it (as stated by Regulus again). This is the start of something ugly, as he bleeds. Intriguing how he refers directly to the one and only Flugel. The only other time you heard about this name was in season 1, where they battled the White Whale, where the "Flugel's Tree" was, and brought down by Subaru & friends to end the battle. To this Flugel he states an apology, as he was about to take in the Witch Factor. It seems Flugel had entrusted him with it, just to keep it safe, as he says. But in this moment, he had no choice but to gamble on it. Ah Pandora. An extremely mysterious and OVERPOWERED existence, as shown to us. She literally rewrites reality, at will. It's even better than Return by Death that rewinds the world. She can choose WHAT to change, and to what extent. By making the reality that "Regulus isn't here. He's at home surrounded by his wives." it made all the damage inflicted by him, to Geuse, canceled (including his arm that was blown off). But she said "I won't overwrite you taking the Witch Factor in" so this shows her mastery over that reality-rewrite power. Scary stuff. You linking Puck & Fortuna has solid ground. The arguments are there: The "Lia" nickname, the "I'll always be with you forever", the mother-daughter relationship parallels that father-daughter one. Pandora being there at the Seal before Emilia is not random. It's not stated in the anime but in the Light Novel volume 14, it is revealed that the spirits that led Emilia towards the seal were requested to do so by Pandora. So either she used her reality-rewrite power to do it or she is contracted to those lesser spirits. Either way this explains from the very start of this Trial, why there was a lesser spirit trying to make Emilia escape her room to lead her outside, the first time Emilia saw the door.

Here is the interesting thing with the Fortuna and Puck connection. A lot of people make this connection and its obvious why. The show wants to really show you the similarities. Most important thing in the world, calls her Lia, will always be there for you, etc. HOWEVER. As stated in my comment last episode the timeline for this just doesnt work. As a reminder the witches stuff = 400years ago. The current flashback happened a bit over 100years ago. When Puck found her after Emilia was frozen for 100years Puck showed up and said he finally found her and that he looked for Emilia for centuries. It was also very heavily implied in the OVA that puck made that deal at the end of the movie with Echidna. There were multiple clues for this up to this point. So Puck must have been atleast 400years old since he knew Echidna and was looking for multiple centuries for Emilia. Which is strange itself since Emilia looks like a child here and not already hundreds of years old But more importantly if Puck is somewhere around 400+years old and was searching for Emilia when Fortuna was still alive he cannot be Fortuna So something strange and interesting is going on here to figure out! :)

i really feel like Puck is either Fortuna or Emilia's father, which we have no information on except for being the brother of Fortuna.
