Bumper crop is "an unusually abundant harvest from a particular crop", basically Serie was saying that the first class examinees this time had more quality mages involved than normal, hence why 6 became first class mages in a test where it is not odd for none to pass.

I think you will love Spice and Wolf (it actually feels like the perfect show to fill the cozy traveling anime hole left by Frieren)! I suggest watching the original.I personally think it is perfect as is, but I'm excited to see what the reboot will bring

you make a good fern! also yes please for spice and wolf! its basically the only show next season thats piqued my interest. i remember loving the original when it came out, but they never finished it... so hopefully this time! i havent seen it in a long time but I think it would be up your alley? i wanna say its about the ins and outs of being an old-timey travelling merchant in a similar way that apothecary diaries is about being an old-timey doctor, but with some light fantasy and romance thrown in. or at least similar vibes from my not-having-seen-it-in-10 years memory.

This was a 10/10 season to me. Easily top 5 favorite anime of all time. Grown so attached to the entire cast, each one boasting with their own charm. Such an endearing watch from start to finish Btw the fact that Land was never even physically there is crazy to me.

Great show, 10/10, I cried when the milet song hit. I honestly think that ED is a big reason people have an emotional connection to the show whether they know it or not. As far as shows to recommend this season: Sound! Euphonium is coming up for it's final (third) season and is definitely worth a watch. Girls in a high school wind band by KyoAni, the second lead is voiced by the same actress as Chisato from Lycoris Recoil.

I am so glad I watched this anime. I initially only watched it because you said it was replacing Vinland since I really enjoyed your Vinland reactions. But after that first episode, I knew it'd be one of my favorites. I've never been so immersed in a show I picked up on a whim ✨😭

Im glad im not the only one who cried lol. I hope they announce season 2 sometime this year 🙏. Some anime recommendations Fena: The Pirate Princess it's 12 episodes one season very under-rated beautiful anime, great opening and ending also. Twin-Star Exorcist 50 episodes also under rated, a little bit on the darker side tho. Norgami 2 seasons total of 25 episodes. Lastly The Aquatope on White Sand 24 episodes one season. I would love to recommend Eureka Seven it's 50 episodes but it's not on Crunchyroll still. Only the second series and the trilogy movies are.

Dungeon Meshi (Delicious in Dungeon) started as a Winter anime, but is continuing in to the Spring and is another fantastic fantasy anime. A lot of the same people who sold me on Frieren before it started airing absolutely love that manga too. Female mangaka that is an absolute fantasy nerd (a lot of jokes she finished the manga to focus on Baldur's Gate 3). It's also the first ever manga adaptation done by Studio Trigger.

This show just brought back my love for the fantasy genre. Every episode felt magical can’t wait for Season 2. As for an anime suggestion I have 3 in mind. All these shows are so underrated and have great beautiful vibes. 1. Chihayafuru 2. March Comes in Like a Lion 3. Kono Oto Tomare: Sound of Life

I initially had zero interest in watching Frieren but it ended up being a fun adventure. FYI, Frieren is currently rated as #1 on MyAnimeList as the top anime.

I liked the original run of Spice and Wolf and am curious about the new series. Another suggestion (that I always make) would be Laid Back Camp, which is getting a third season this year. It's such a good show.

I'll say it, this is the best season of anime all-time. There wasn't a single aspect that I wouldn't give 10/10. Season 2 is going to be embarrassing with the tearful goodbye to season 1. Serie taking one look at Übel and passing her twisted mind and my man Land passing the exam on a zoom call. I love those two :D Doesn't seem like spring 2024 will be as good as the goated spring 2023, but hope we'll get a few great new animes.

Hibike! is my favorite anime of all time. Would love to see this get some reactions but its never gonna happen… it’s simply not popular enough. K-On! maybe could get a watch eventually and its from the same director as Euphonium… but even that is unlikely and its twice as popular of a series. Sad.

I would recommend watching "Ascendence of a Bookworm" it is just 3 seasons. 36 episodes. It has been announced that a 4th season is currently being worked on. It is has a feel-good protagonist that does simple things, and has a similar vibe like Frienen and Mao Mao

That scene where Seirie is walking and her open palmed hand is brushing against the flowers she conjoured broke me. She does that because it reminds her of holding Flamme's hand when she was a kid walking through the forest. She even holds her hand out in the exact same way 😭

Also, Serie is probably FURIOUS with Fern for learning the laundry spell. She mentioned that to give people the spell they asked for she has to transfer her knowledge to them through magic. She loses all knowledge of that spell when she does this... This means Serie has to do her own laundry until she can relearn the spell.

Such an phenomenal show, crying again and again, the story is just so good to learn. By the way, love that the director made the same walking shot of left side as Bocchi the Rock’s ending, so beautiful. Want to recommend you the upcoming show, “Sounds! Euphonium season 3”. There were two seasons a long time ago, also three movies after them, so it would be a lot of contents to go through if you never watched it before. It’s a really beautiful animated show to enjoy, also the story about the high school symphonic club got a lot of drama there. You would love to watch those characters’ growth!

Thank you for the reactions! I love the subtle thematic tie between himmel and stark in this episode. Everyone remembers himmels small acts of kindness and then we get a small montage of everyone happy to see stark and we know from his birthday episode he goes around helping folks with small things. Just a very nice touch
