The Halloween comment I believe is in reference to the Halloween trainee showcase that Bang Chan and I.N did together (where I.N played the Joker). From what I gather through all the different times they've mentioned it, I.N was still a weekend trainee during that showcase, meaning he spent his weekdays in Busan to go to school (before he transferred to SOPA with Hyunjin) and would take the train to Seoul for the weekends. He was recording himself practicing after school to send to Chan since he wasn't in Seoul for their rehearsals during the week.

I've not heard anything official on how Chan came to know or make his decisions, but I do know that there were a couple people Chan had chosen that never made it to the show, including: - Yao Chen who went off to debut with R1SE before they disbanded and he became a soloist. - Allen Ma who was apparently already in the SKZ lineup but then ended up leaving JYPE and debuted with Cravity. - a trainee (name redacted as he isn't famous) who was close with Han and Natty (she trained with Twice/ITZY before debuting with Kiss of Life) but he left to return to the US

I love that you reacted to Black Hole in the same video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire video. Interesting combo, these two. They get along very well and musically, vocally they sound so beautiful together. When I realised we were getting a chan-I.N. ep I cheered knowing we would get gorgeous vocals. And we sure did. Not to mention a beautiful metaphor in the lyrics. Loved it. But the entire conversation was lovely too. Gave quite the insight in their characters. Oh and I just love when you find something in the subtitles that is a bit off. Soooo relatable!!! And no I dont think the connotation is different in other English speaking parts of the world.

It's crazy how much content I've missed from SKZ. Who'd have thunk I would have to listen to a SKZ-RECORD just to be able to finish watching a 2 Kid's Show. Geez. Do I have any hopes of catching up? Who know, but off I go to try.
