Good memory! They are looking at their younger selves from the Diary Film, when Mingi got in fights and put in his headphones to escape the world, and Yunho lost his musician brother in a car accident. The creepy figures are adults. Mingi said he wrote this most of this when he was on hiatus with anxiety, and Yunho did the bridge. I've noticed in some content in the past several months that Mingi has been avoiding alcohol. Even in the Crazy Form video, while at the bar he pours himself some milk. Weirdly, as someone who prefers intense, theatrical ATEEZ, this might be my favorite on the album. It's wormed it's way into my heart. I think I love the little rest the acoustic instrumentation gives me from all the electronica. Also... Mingi's vocals? His adlibs in the background near the end are so nice. As someone with some pretty nasty lifelong depression, I hope that the ending is them burning and releasing that old pain. It delights me that "cover ballads for my birthday" vocalist Seonghwa did a grimy hip-hop and "I wanna be a cool rapper" Mingi did this mellow groove. Add concert Hongjoong's guitar solo... It feels like these guys are going to keep us on our toes for a long time and I love it.
