Late to the party as always lol I'm not sure if you've figured it out by now but I thought i'd comment in case you haven't. They've confirmed that this song is based off of the horror villain icon Freddy Krueger. Freddy Krueger is from A Nightmare on Elm Street and he's a spirit who murders his victims in their dreams and it kills them in real life as well. In the dream world, he is a powerful force and seemingly invulnerable but when he's pulled back into the real world, he has normal human vulnerabilities and can be destroyed. So the lyrics make a lot of sense in that aspect!
