ToATea

To add some slight context: according to my brief perusal of her Wikipedia, BoA is currently 36. She began training with SM at the age of 11, when she was scouted, and debuted at 13 in 2000. She's an all-rounder, good with singing, dancing, and rap. She's known as the first kpop idol to really break into the extremely lucrative Japanese market, which she did in 2001. In 2002, her career really picked up, with her first album to be RIAJ-certified million seller, making her the first kpop idol to have an album debut at the top of Japan's Oricon chart. She would have been 15 at the time, already hugely successful. BoA's been active and successful ever since, with at least 20 albums released (this wikipedia list does not look complete....). As far as I know, she is considered the idol who has been consistently active the longest in kpop, which is why I gave her the accolade of "Empress" when I recommended her song 'Forgive Me' to you =) It's the title track of a mini album she dropped last year. Given all that, it's no wonder the guys of ATEEZ kept trying to turn the interview around! And quite likely at this point in her career, all she's probably interested in doing is maintaining a certain base level of fitness. She certainly doesn't need to prove anything anymore to anyone, especially if she's been managing her money well

K-pop Auntie

I can't imagine getting into the Kpop idol training system at the age of 11. I mean, I'm sure it's not quite as intense at that age. But still. Sounds like she's had a storied career already. Thank you!
