Popcorn does sound good, but I don't think I have any. I do have little chocolate rice cakes though, and some leftover gumbo. Coffee, water... now to bash out today's Duolingo lesson to keep my streak and I'm settling in for the evening. Woohoo!

The heat has been unbearable this year... We have already had heat indexes 120+ and have had 11 days of triple digits. Our ten day forecast is between 101-104° everyday coming up. Bleh.

DFW area of Texas, we normally have brutal summers, but this year has been extra hot, and we have actually been humid so it makes it all that much worse, typically by the time we start getting ridiculously hot we have dried out so our humidity isn't that bad... but this year, 🔥🥵🫠. Our heat indexes have been sky rocketing.

I enjoyed watching last night. Playing again this morning so I can listen to you read the captions while I do stuff and comment. Sorry in advance lol Weather: We had several days in the high 90s and suddenly it go cloudy and cool. Today's forecast is 74! Then back to the high 90s by the end of the week. Logbook 116 is also out It covers the showcase, if you're interested.

The partial subtitles drive me crazy. They get to claim English subs but they only do the stuff in the script, instead of delaying the broadcast a few seconds to do proper live captioning. Idol Radio does something similar. They do also try to do live captions, but clearly don't delay the broadcast for them to match the speakers, and they are extremely incomplete. Someone will be rattling off two fat paragraphs and the eventual caption will say something like, "I enjoyed it." It's so frustrating. Curse Korean and English for being so incompatible. Learning a meaningful amount is going to take AGES. The fancy sets are why they pre-record at stupid hours. The first one was meant to look like the entrance to the saloon from the MV. They've been releasing albums on Fridays, so their first three stages aren't eligible to win but they get the swaggy close-up intros. Their first stage on The Show is when they can. ATINY really wanted them to win that one, since it was exactly the 4th anniversary of their first ever win AND Yeosang is an MC. If all the shows are broadcasting that week, (one didn't have a live show this time) there is one each day for 6 days. HoHong don't even get Mondays off anymore because they have Idol Radio Monday and Wednesday nights. Include the Showcase and they are on live air every single day for three weeks. It's not your imagination, they have done a TON of challenges. A bunch of fans said they wanted them, so suddenly the guys are doing challenges (theirs and other idols) so much that Kpop stans were like Whoa they finally unlocked the door and let ATEEZ out of the basement. Beauty people started doing a makeup transformation version and Hongjoong and Seonghwa did that one too. There were even a some Idoltiny who got to do theirs in the KQ practice room, which must have been exciting for them. Happy Birthday! Yes BBTrippin and yes they've had dancers on music show stages before. They blended into the background more when they were still wearing masks though. The crest on Hongjoong's black coat isn't Prestige Academy, it's Balmain. You're shocked, right? The song you couldn't place during the exit interview is Tequilla! The military camo outfits were what they wore to dance Bouncy for Performance 37, which is like Studio Choom. The Immortal Songs military outfits were like dress uniforms. The song Tablo and Hongjoong tweeted each other about was Tomorrow, his audition song that he sang on Lee Mujin Service. It was really cute, they both seemed excited, and Tablo said he liked ATEEZ a lot and named Wonderland, Fireworks and The Real. I liked the whole promotion that Mingi would say Our ATINY aren't sleeping because they have to match their schedule, but never elaborated which ATINY. I am also one of them. Most of the midweek mushows air at like 2-3:30-ish am for me, and I wake up to drop my votes and usually wait for the performance/announcement. My alarm for work goes off at 4:30am so... yeah. It's not just the locals who are sleep deprived! lol Ooooo now I want tikka masala... I usually tune out the other performances on these shows, but I did watch part of BAD GIRL STUPID BOY. I remembered seeing WETBOY also promoting during a previous comeback... he caught my eye for being SOOO different from all boy/girl groups, so I watched. He makes me smile. ATEEZ did the challenge with him, too. I could see them getting along really well. What a bunch of comedians. Grace judging you from behind might be my favorite part. She must be tired after her vacation.

Quite the epic comment. The weather finally broke here as well. Dropped from the 90s into the 80s and the humidity is gone as well. Such a relief. I had an idea when I first started reacting to make a real effort to learn Korean, but SKZ has actually convinced me that it won't help me whatsoever for the things I actually want it to help me with. Primarily all the puns and word-plays and mixing words together and other elements in songs or when they are joking around. Learning Korean to the extent that I would be able to immediately pick up on all of that would take years and a mastery of the language. Phew, that 6 day a week schedule has to be brutal. I'm sure they're just taking naps when they can instead of getting proper sleep at any given time. Now that you mention BBTrippin being in the background in masks before, it rings a bell. And thanks for helping me get things straight with the uniforms and Tablo and all. It gets all jumbled in my head after a little while. Great job on participating with the voting! Grace has been seriously sacked out since her little camping trip. Sounds like she has a little upper respiratory infection as well. Either that or just allergies and the heat, so I'm sure that's taking it out of her as well.

Yeah, sorry. Epic reaction, epic comment? I know I'll never know enough to get the puns and stuff, I at least want to know more-or-less what they are saying in lives and other things without subtitles. Waiting around hoping someone eventually adds them sucks. I hope grace is fine.
